BUZZARD and Rare BLUE EGG! 👀 Buteo buteo

A Buzzard suddenly flew upwards and over us as we were walking along an 'edge of wood' pathway.
Looking over the edge of a steep banking, I spotted the (unusual placed) Buzzard nest instantly and zoomed down to the Eggs as seen in the video.
Incredibly, one of the Eggs was pure pale BLUE! 👀 with none of the usual speckles and (freckle like) markings. I couldn't find any online reference to the odds of this happening.
Maybe it is a one in a million chance, who knows?.
At a later date, in a nearby woodland I was surprised to see that one of the young had still not fledged from another Buzzard nest. Any other chicks from this nest had already 'branched' and flown.

जब हम 'लकड़ी के किनारे' वाले रास्ते पर चल रहे थे तो एक बज़र्ड अचानक ऊपर की ओर उड़कर हमारे ऊपर आ गया।
एक खड़ी बैंकिंग के किनारे पर देखते हुए, मैंने तुरंत (असामान्य रूप से रखे गए) घोंसले को देखा और अंडे पर ज़ूम किया, जैसा कि वीडियो में देखा गया है।
अविश्वसनीय रूप से, अंडों में से एक शुद्ध पीला नीला था! 👀 सामान्य धब्बों और (झाई जैसे) निशानों के बिना। मुझे ऐसा होने की संभावना का कोई ऑनलाइन संदर्भ नहीं मिला।

Incredibly, bhí ceann de na Uibheacha íon pale GORM! 👀 gan aon cheann de na gnáthmharcanna breaca agus (cosúil le freckle). Ní raibh mé in ann teacht ar aon tagairt ar líne don seans go dtarlódh sé seo.
B'fhéidir gur seans aon i milliún é, cé a fhios?.
Níos déanaí, d'fhill mé ar choillearnach in aice láimhe agus bhí ionadh orm a fheiceáil nach raibh duine de na óga fós tar éis titim amach. Bhí sicíní ar bith eile ón nead seo 'brainseach' agus ar eitilt cheana féin.

BUZZARDKÜKEN & Seltenes BLAUES EI! 👀
Ein Bussard flog plötzlich nach oben und über uns hinweg, als wir einen „Waldrand“-Weg entlang gingen.
Als ich über den Rand einer steilen Böschung blickte, entdeckte ich sofort das (ungewöhnlich platzierte) Nest und sauste zu den Eiern hinunter, wie im Video zu sehen.
Unglaublich, eines der Eier war rein blass BLAU! 👀 ohne die üblichen Flecken und (sommersprossigen) Markierungen. Ich konnte online keinen Hinweis auf die Wahrscheinlichkeit finden, dass dies geschieht.
Vielleicht ist es eine Chance von eins zu einer Million, wer weiß?
Später kehrte ich in ein nahegelegenes Waldgebiet zurück und stellte überrascht fest, dass eines der Jungen noch immer nicht flügge war. Alle anderen Küken aus diesem Nest waren bereits „verzweigt“ und geflogen.

Um Buzzard de repente voou para cima e sobre nós enquanto caminhávamos ao longo de um caminho de 'borda de madeira'.
Olhando por cima de uma encosta íngreme, localizei o ninho (em localização incomum) instantaneamente e desci para os Ovos como visto no vídeo.
Incrivelmente, um dos Ovos era AZUL puro! 👀 sem nenhuma das manchas usuais e marcas (semelhantes a sardas). Não consegui encontrar nenhuma referência online sobre as chances disso acontecer.
Talvez seja uma chance em um milhão, quem sabe?
Mais tarde, voltei a uma floresta próxima e fiquei surpreso ao ver que um dos jovens ainda não havia fugido. Quaisquer outros filhotes deste ninho já haviam 'ramificado' e voado.

Канюк раптово злетів угору та над нами, коли ми йшли уздовж узлісся.
Дивлячись через край крутого берега, я миттєво помітив гніздо (незвичайне розташування) і наблизився до яєць, як видно на відео.
Неймовірно, але одне з яєць було чисто БЛАКИТНИМ! 👀 без жодних звичайних крапок і (схожих на веснянки) плям. Я не міг знайти в Інтернеті посилання на ймовірність цього.
Можливо, це один шанс на мільйон, хто знає?.
Пізніше я повернувся до лісу неподалік і з подивом побачив, що один із дитинчат ще не вилетів. Будь-які інші пташенята з цього гнізда вже «розгалужилися» і полетіли.

Hello again Andrea, yes a lifer on the actual egg, but with Buzzards, it has been a huge success story over the last 20 years or more. Briefly, when pesticides were banned Buzzards really thrived and have continued to do so. Most woodlands have nesting Buzzards now and their nests are not difficult to find. Usually high up, they are mostly hard to get good video inside or of the chicks though. Thank you for your lovely comment as always, my dear and valued friend. *Hugs* 👍◕‿◕

Hi Pavel, I love this predator too and we are so lucky that with the banning opf pesticides 20 years or so ago and the gradual lessening of its useage, the Buzzard thrived and is now the most common raptor in the UK. Thank you for your comment and good wishes, my dear friend. 👍◕‿◕

It's so good you could get such a good view into the nest and get this record of the unusual blue egg. I like the excellent view of the young buzzard.

Hello my friend, indeed I was very fortunate to spot this great nest and with that downward view to the incredible blue egg! I filmed young Buzzards and adults flying around and calling in woodland a week or so ago too. Thank you for your lovely comment. 👍◕‿◕

Hello my good friend. I'm glad that you watch and also read the story as it plays. Yes, the view as you say is pretty spectacular, although I cut it short as there are obvious landmarks there and I like to keep the location as secret as I can. I wish I had my trail camera with me that day as I'm sure set pointed to the nest it would have captured some amazing stuff. Thank you as always. 👍◕‿◕

Hi Dave, Yes, it was a strange surprise to find the plain blue egg. I've asked a known raptor worker and he has never heard of one either and he is 76! We have another car now after 7 weeks without one! And typically, the weather was amazing for those 7 weeks and when we get the car it rains nearly every day, lol. In general things are ok right now and thank you for your concern, my valued friends. 👍◕‿◕

A gorgeous little juvenile. Isn't it unusual for a buzzard to have a nest so low to the ground even though it is a steep hill? Is the egg too big for a cuckoo? Those nests are fantastic finds👍

Hello my friend, yes, it is unusual for the Buzzard to make its nest at the base of a tree and it has to be the safety of the steep hill that gave them confidence to do so. And to be fair, it is a safe nest. The egg is way too big for a Cuckoo. The nests are not hard to spot, due to their size, but often, you won't be able to see much until the chicks are a few weeks old and able to stand. Hola, amigo mío, no hay otra ave del Reino Unido que ponga huevos de este tamaño y forma que pueda llegar tan alto. Es 100% un huevo de Buzzard, solo uno de color extremadamente raro. Gracias por ver y por tu interesante comentario. 👍◕‿◕
