I personally think the SSO team is hardworking but on the wrong path. It takes an incredible amount of work to keep a game running for this long, let alone update it weekly. THAT BEING SAID, the plastic-ifaction and infantilization of the game (think the barbie looking terrain, ridiculous magic horses, over simplified 'quests') should not have been the move they made. . They decided to keep a 10-year old game for kids, rather than growing with the initial audience. Realism has left the chat, engagement is only due now to short quests or drawn-out/bloated events, and people pretty much only login to buy new (most beautiful) horses and then train. That's my problem with the game. Stunning horses are great, and I love RRP in SSO, but I do not want to log in, let alone give the company money, just to do that and nothing else. . I want content, I want customization, and I want a company that listens to its community. We have barely been getting any of that recently (like the past five years, lmao) and it's honestly disheartening. I've been playing since 2014 (off and on at first until I caved and bought SR) and I miss the old SSO. Not because of the graphics necessarily (though the realism and non-plasticky look was superior) but because it felt like they invested more thought into it, even with the arguably hideous (in retrospect) horses... . I want the old SSO vibes back, please and thank you.

WELL SAID!!! You hit the hammer right on the nail! I’m an older player I started playing SSO around 2014. I loved it so much because of the quests and characters, I’m extremely obsessed with the storyline. Now the game has turned into a collection game. You buy horses and train them, then probably never touch them again. All of the quests are just about collecting items. I’m sick and tired of just COLLECTING.

Agreed. I understand the laws they have to follow with the coppa but theres always ways to improve their game. They are hardworking, their employees at least. But their management and whoever is making the big decisions for this game isnt doing a good job at all

I just want to say, its not just kids that like magic horses, but it matters that they’re done right. Like last year’s Christmas horses….what was that.. im honestly surprised we dont have a traditional unicorn or pegasus. They make it harder and harder every year to get the currency, and it takes more and more time. Like if you wanted to open all the portals, just to get started on collecting for the outfits… thats hours…. Not to mention the birds, last year i skipped the raven because i didnt have enough shards and was tired.

Ngl with how the Halloween update went I’m kinda scared for what they Gonna do with the Christmas update, it’s my favorite event so I have high hopes for it, I just hope they don’t make us unlock some race tho or wait a whole other week for a horse

It was already kinda bland last year for the Christmas update. Santa wasn't even in his own village either. They put ol' Saint Nick in the freaking mall where literally almost nobody goes to anymore. XD They also tried to stretch the update out and we literally had to wait like 1 or 2 weeks later before we could even think about getting the newer Christmas horses. I highly recommend that you set your hopes lower, because that way it's easier to not feel disappointed. I also remember that the Christmas village used to feel a bit happier and more of a family vibe, this was before they gave the village an updated look. They also took away the igloo where you could spend your wishes on interesting things, like the Rudolph headdress with the big red nose (you can't get it anymore). I also remember that we could go to the town of Jarlaheim and help Santa deliver presents. We could fly across the sky with his sleigh and one of his reindeer. We would chuck presents into the chimney's. And Santa would repay us with wishes and we could trade them in for more interesting little goodies, like the funny reindeer powders you could use on your starter horses.

I feel like they did the Santa thing just to make people go to the mall tho. I miss Jarlaheim tho where we could do that. That was so much fun

@@wolfyy664 If you were playing SSO maybe like 5 years ago, chances are you would've had a much grander experience. Also... Unless you actually go to the mall, you would never know that they moved Santa over there. Like no mention of him in the mall, like I thought he was literally just axe murdered and wasn't returning. Plus, he's just there for looks, you can't talk to him or do anything with him. Tis sad for poor old Santa Clause.

Now I get on just to train really and for my club. Also. Why even move Santa if you not gonna tell anyone? The mall was so much fun. I do wish they had some more stuff there. Like even bringing back the fashion show? I used to enjoy thst

i adore the new Halloween horses, slightly disappointed we had to wait an extra week but I named the Nemain Daycore aka Deco, and the Laverna or whatever Divinedemon aka Damon they're both stunning, showstopping, etc etc

make the storytime video! and Laverna is gorgeous, but Nemain's black color is the darkest in the game, I believe, and I fell for them. The XP bug is something they should have noticed on release day or so, not 3 Whole days because it's unfair the gap between players now; like you very nicely stated, but for me, the update as a whole as the event was very dull with really nothing to be done if you get done early with the portals wish there was more.

I had no idea about the XP glitch until I saw numerous players level 24 or over. I've been playing SSO for about 7 years and just got to level 22 last year. I got to that point because I worked hard for it. I waited for any chance I could to get a small bit of XP every month, or even once every few months. Seeing others easily get to higher levels is just more than unfair, especially to those who are still level 20 or 21. It makes it impossible for anyone to really catch up to those higher levels, and it's honestly bullsh-- that SSO only noticed it now. I just find it extremely disappointing and upsetting on how messed up the level system is and how much of an advantage those 24+ level players have now. Even I have a slight advantage at level 22. I wish SSO would do something to make it so everyone is at the same level in the near future.

I wrote them and they told me they're going to delete level bonuses in the future and remade the race system... But when... I'm playing since 2013 but I'm level 21 because of some my issues and THEIR too! I couldn't buy star rider for about a year, I couldn't even log on and they couldn't help me. When my laptop was broken, yeah, it was my problem, I know it. But the two previous ones...

You can be level 24 without glitching

I was really disappointed in Halloween this year. I actually had been really excited for the update since months ago, but this year just didn't feel the same anymore. There's just way too many things to grind for, and not enough places to get them. If you don't unlock the portals, you won't get enough autumn tokens to get the outfits. You'll also miss out on a lot of horse and character XP. It's a bit sad that SSO doesn't realize there is a large majority of their players who have jobs, and a life outside of the game. No one can sit for hours on SSO to get all the content unlocked like others can. I'm mostly sure that they did this because they have 0 content to give to us. There should be no reason to stretch out the event so far, that you make it overwhelming. I feel that SSO is trying, but their not trying enough. Some of the choices they have made lately are a bit questionable. In the end, I just want to say thank you for being apart of this community. Your never afraid to say what you think, and just be flat out honest. SSO doesn't have enough people telling them how it really is and what they seriously need to fix. So thank you for speaking up for us :D

I’m kind of disappointed they took the player xp away, that really helped me since I don’t get lots of quests. I’m personally 3160 xp from level 22 and we don’t get much xp from events anymore.

I truly adore the Laverna horse. I think it truly is some of SSO's best work thus far. I named mine VioletStorm (Viola and/or Violet for the barn name!) however I DESPERATELY wanted to name her ULTRAViOLET however for some DUMB reason that's not an option, cause Violet is only available as a 'first' name list option ;_;

I bought Laverna and called it "Lavender" its already level 9 XD EDIT: I just realized you bought the same horse sith the same bame as i did XD I HAVE THIS HORSE OR 4+ HOURS

Considered calling it Lavender, but I ended up with Indigo. Wanted something different and for some reason it felt right for this horse.

When I went to buy the Laverna horse thingy I was also like “THE TOUNGE IS PURPLEEE”

Got mine, finally. They are absolutely gorgeous and I'm genuinely proud of the amount of work put into these horses. Definitely a comeback from the previous ones which weren't that great tbh. Named my Firey boy Warwick.

Now I totally agree with all your opinions and love your channel! But in my personal opinion I personally LOVE the Nemains default coat! I’m a sucker for pure black coats and I did buy both horses and the Laverna is just agreeably STUNNING! I do agree on what you said about the magic coat on them though- wish SSO did do like a transparent magic horse one year and I would totally buy star coins just for that lol, but I’m just saying in my personal opinion, I totally love the Nemains default coat and that’s the only reason I bought that shire in the first place lol (ps: also I saw ur chat on Instagram on sso, I was personally shocked LOL)

Absolutely same I didn’t like the paint bc of the braids either the non magic coat was stunning but I nyoomed over there so fast for the shire

I only play for nostalgic reasons but every since this stood out to me i cant unsee it. Every quest is either running to another location, running to multiple locations with a timer, running after/away from things and reading dialogue. I love this game and the quality of what they put out is getting better, but its what theyre putting out thats the problem..

What I like about you when you're describing horses is you say why you do or do not like it. When watching other KZreadrs a lot of the time they just say they like it or they don't like it they never actually say why.

The amount of player xp from this event is insane not gotta lie...the fact people farmed it before it got fixed is upsetting but again they took advantage I guess

The problem is that sso is so quick to fix all the fun and useful bugs, but leaves the ones that make the game harder. Like the pumpkin thing, the races not being accepted or just the good plain old invisible walls that you run into while doing races.

Funny I named mine Lavender too but with "trouble" in the end of the name. I did strongly consider naming it "Mistchief" for mischief though. The horses is getting more and more awesome but this game is lacking stuff to do I feel! And I agree about the unbalanced levels we have now, they should seriously add a level limit at level 22 or something. A bug isn't supposed to stay and let people get ahead of other people just because they were playing at the right time and had time to do it in that short period of time the bug was available.

I completely understand and I'm guilty of grinding for xp that's why I hit Lvl 22 But i honestly think that level 20 to 24 should be the same speed and jumping eg I think the the Halloween new horses are the best horses of this year in my opinion

hello I am Winnie and I have been watching your videos for a few weeks. I love the star stable videos and I love the rat in the bathtub.

When seeing the spoiler video I said the Belgium Warmblood was a good roleplay horse. When seeing your review I said they could of updated the old models first before new horses. Well no hate just taking information and listening to what other people have to say. I do think they are kind of good, but then I see the darker side.

it would be sick if they made a magical coat horse that’s solid black but with these really detailed demon horns and bright red eyes or something. it’s simple but i hate magical coats so.

I got into SSO as a kid because it had mystery and a very real environment- and I mean that in a "not everything was perfect and happy" way. For example there are abandoned farms and tragic deaths that occur/have occurred in the stories' past. With the new updates they've completely neglected SSO's main aesthetic/environment/storyline, the one thing that separated it from all other horse games. It's unique story and intriguing characters. It was something nobody has really ever seen before and there wasn't always a happy ending. The story was a mix of realism and magic, which was nice and relatable to an extent. Now? It's full on fantasy and completely unrelatable. SSO has sadly lost its' balance.

1:34 here i thought that if denise is afraid of stinky rats commenting bad stuff, and then "..hmm or it's just his humor" then "this is my humor" right after :O🤣

Aww I realllly wish you could change the mane style, i would get that paint horse but i hate braids, and it's going to annoy me that I can't change it. They should at least have it where when the holiday horses get re-released those who already own the horse can change the mane style if only during that time.

I can't wait to buy the Laverna horse! I'm really upset that they removed the glitch for sure but it's fine. I just honestly need to quit and move on honestly. And yes I'd love to see a storytime! Keep being your amazing self, fellow dinky Rat

I SO wish we could change the manes of the magic horses. I have the old skeleton one and I wish I could choose no mane

They clearly want to grab peoples money when they decided to release a horse every month with really high end prices. I'd have a bit of a different opinion if they actually listened to the community and gave lifetime Sr 200 weekly sc, as we are the vips of the vips, but they've never bothered doing anything for it... And that was mentioned like a year or two ago...

Wait, people were getting player xp from collecting soul shards??? I was farming the soul shards on the first day just so I could open all the portals, but was I getting player xp too??

Like I love the purple horse but I HATE with 2 underlines the hair style. I wish they gave us the ability to change the main an tail.

Warning. This will be a rant. I hoped for an engaging and spooky quest. But I just get an NPC who introduced me to a bunch of walls. In the form of repetitive grinding and constant logging in to get soul shards. Even when getting every portal unlocked, there is not even a dialogue to congratulate the player by that NPC or a cut scene showcasing galloper reacting to the portals he closed suddenly being opened by a mortal (the player). I do love how you can essentially get 2 free ravens (won't go into in-depth detail) but you need to have first unlocked the haunted trails, with soul shards, and get 20 additional soul shards for each raven. That's a lot of soul shards. That's a lot of grinding. I'm just lucky my work schedule at the moment allows me time. I love gallopers keep. I love the spooky atmosphere. But there is no content. The event is being spaced out. Fair enough. But there is not enough to keep me engaged. Unless you are looking to buy a new horse, there was nothing to look forward to this week. I'll admit I am tempted, the two horses are beautiful, but the mane choice for the Laverna annoys me personally. I think a classic plait or hogged mane would have suited the horse, because the mane as it is now just hides my view of the vertebrae (If someone doesn't know, it's basically part of the skeleton that's makes up the spine starting from the base of the skull to the end of the tail bone). I went off topic there, but I'm going to wait on later breeds to decide if I'll spend my SC. In conclusion, I was expecting more. I admire the beautiful results for the new halloween horses. I know there are people who work hard and care. But there needs to be more. Love you content as always and please make a story time video!

I never even noticed that xp bug tbh. Nothing shows up to tell u that u were getting points. Once ur higher level its a lot slower to level up too so of course many older players didnt notice. Ive been stuck at 20 for so long and im close to the next but i didnt notice the xp bug while i was farming for the ravens. The rapid leveling was absolutely unfair especially as many ppl have work/school. Then in champs? At that point theres no competition so that knocks racing out as something to do (only thing worth it is the 250xp for horses in training) Also some funny names ive seen are Brokenman, Redrocket😂, Smokespot, Dewdew. Currently trying to make my own i've got Cooluncle, Ninjaturtle, Oniondip, Nachodip, Dustychild, Blindlady/man, Miniman, Mouseman (for the dinky rats), Bluewaffle, Wallpaper, Brokenbottle, Walrustooth, Woodboard, Hollowbrain/head story time? 👀i wanna see which grown ass ppl arent acting their age pssst...the lauren mountainborn method for shards still works ;)

The whole xp with the tornado is something that should never have been a problem in the first place. Cause what sso needs to do is put a cap on player levels and only change that cap when more story content comes out. Events/holidays would get you to the cap faster and still be useful. Problem solved
