This video is part 5 in the "Buying & Renovating the Cheapest Fixer Upper in Town" series. In this video Dave once again brings you along as he helps his college friend Danny search fix up his first home & real estate investment purchase. This video features the ugly fixer upper that Danny chose to buy, Dave explains the current renovation progress, and the unexpected hurdles encountered when the team commissioned a second round of asbestos testing.
But, don't worry! The house has recently got through major changes to properly remediate the asbestos in an effort to create the safest possible home for Danny, and his future tenants. Not to be set back, Danny and Dave get right back to work installing all new lighting throughout the home, and moving the kitchen appliances in!
Still working with a tight budget Danny's goal is to get this place renovated and in ship-shape, so he can have some piece of mind while he lives there and "house hacks" the other bedrooms by renting them out to roommates. To do this Danny has enlisted Dave's help along with a real estate agent who is "investor friendly." Dave brings with him a wealth of knowledge from his career in the architecture and construction industries, and wants to make sure his good buddy succeeds in this new adventure!
