No they cannot scrap the car if you have got the NOC and if paid Road Tax in Karnataka,.you should try to complete the formalities as soon as possible before it gets too much complicated sir .and thanks for watching!

What Mr. Sadath couldn't tell is that the tax paid during re-registration by the new owner of the vehicle can be used as proof and along with other re-registration documents, the initial owner of the vehicle can apply for tax reimbursement in the initially registered state and then transfer the amount to the new owner. Make sure the sale agreements are notarized with these clauses.

Since all documents are valid and running you can buy it and re-register it..but still you may try to find similar bullet in Karnataka itself for hassle-free work related to RTO..

I don't think it works like this, rules have changed.. Karnataka government laws mandate vehicles staying in Karnataka for more than 30 days to pay lifetime tax in lump sum, and then withdraw the balance amount from the government of the city where the vehicle was registered earlier..

If the ownership is transferred to you then you can apply for the white number plate in your nearest RTO.. There will be fee accordingly.. Must take the mechanic along to check the car incase you are planning to buy it from the zoom car..

hi, here is my approximate calculation.. Maybe +/- Depending on right price. For EX: Honda city - 9L (Ex:Showroom price) NOC Charges Approx : 5K. 50% depreciation from 9Lac ex-showroom price, i.e. 4.5L (Approx). 13-14% tax depending on actual price for 4.5L that is 63K. KA Registration Charges for number plate after paying road tax: 7-8k Approx. (You can still rule out this if you want to use your car with your same old registration number). NOC-5k Tax- 63k KA Reg-8k Approximate Total - 76000/- on a rough side.. so you should have a got a fair idea on how much it will cost you approximately..hope it helps..
