Every console is worth it no matter the year. Especially the DS and 3DS because their uniques library and first and third party exclusives games.

Couldn't have said it any better, I really miss the DS family.

I remember getting a DS lite when I was a little kid, it was black and I played games like new super mario bros, mario kart DS, and even the random games such as horrid henry. I had so much fun playing mario over and over and over and over again. This was until my DS ended up snapping in half at some point. I wasn't too sad about it at the time since I was getting into newer things. But looking back, it makes me realise what a masterpiece the DS was, I'm planning on buying another one soon just to bring back some nice childhood memories. :)

Just got a £12 DS Lite from a great local charity shop, didn’t know anything about them. Looking forward to finding games

i have consistently been 10-15 years behind the video game industry since 1998, when i bought a Saturn from the bargin bin.

Same here, I am still playing PS3 without any intention to move to PS4 or PS5.

I have my sister's original ds lite today, aside from the nearly wrecked battery, I absolutely love this thing. Pokemon Gen 4 is so easy to pick up again these days.

I like both my DS Lite and my moded back-lit gba, I'm at work, usually over 9 hours a day, and the smaller nintendo systems and a few games fit perfectly in my pocket, so it's great for me as my work location is huge on a very large property so I'm all over. I'm sure to someone reading this, you're probably wondering why I take a game to work with me. Wouldn't I be afraid of getting in trouble? Everyone's work situation is different, my work situation is generally unsupervised, and due to the long hours, there are times when I have a quick 10 minutes to relax here or there, or I might want to play on my break, also generally I arive early and like to hangout before my shift. So it's nice to have a small game to play, and the older GBA GBC games have almost no loading times, so I can quickly play for a few minutes without worry.

I work in a pretty casual office job and usually have a gameboy micro with me when there is downtime. Thankfully my workplace is super chill and the staff is just a bunch of nerds anyway.

i recently just got a crimson black DSL and an r4 card cuz im broke, i really love this little guy so nice, sleek and elegant, the library vast as ever and lively, if you dont have one just get one and download some games on an r4 its worth it

Pokemon SoulSilver might be the best pokemon game ever made, hundreds of hours you can sink In Pictochat Is still really cool Mario Kart DS Is fun online as Is Metroid Prime Hunters It's especially nice to have a console you can fold up and put In your pocket when we are used to having a giant nintendo switch

Linear time is a man made concept. The console is great in "2006" and it's great in "2023". Also, it's not "piracy" to take your other games and dump the ROMs to be played on the DS or any other console 😉

@@QueenViolet8 AliExpress has them. But I had them before and all the themed shells suck alot. You can make them but its no fun with these bad cases. Best cases are the clear ones and sometimes they still suck. And the best tip of them all is when the ds doesn't close the back side of the case is pushing against the em10 filter and when that breaks the ds cannot charge anymore. If you push it close it will break. i had to cut away pieces around em10 to make it fit.

you can either look online on ebay or etsy! or you can look at your local pawn shop(if you have one) i found mine at a pawn shop for dirt cheap! good luck! :)
