Ben, I’ve been around since you got penny boards and recorded on your go-pro. Your trip to Alberta inspired me to make the same exact trip and become a filmmaker. Regardless of all of the previous information, I have seen you develop, grow, and change. While also developing, growing, and changing myself. I feel so warmed by the energy that your most recent videos have been transmitting. I receive a very similar feeling to the feelings I had when you first began your journey. Comparison to previous versions of ourselves can be quite harmful (and even frustrating given your following/experiences), but that’s not what I’m doing. I’m saying that beyond comparison, these new videos feel like the amalgamation of the journey you have been on. I feel honored to have seen your journey and I’m proud of you for continuing to use this as an outlet.

It’s not as safe as Europe, and yet I have never been in danger here. Awareness is key, on the whole you’re safe, and there are places you would not go, same as anywhere really!

Pretty great! Same as Europe, when we go deeper into the wild there’s only reception in towns and nothing between, but this is one of the main roads across South Africa ⚡️
