I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I just had a random dream about you after not seeing your stuff for years, hunted you down, saw this video and I think I was meant to tell you that if you go on Adobes live chat and tell them you can’t afford the monthly cost of the “all apps” subscription they will offer it to you for £30 a month for a year instead. Ben, I just wanted to say thanks for being so open and vulnerable on these vlogs! I loved all your content back when you were daily vlogging and will always appreciate all the moments you captured back then, whether it was long cycle rides with Dan, adventures with Dan Mace, trips with Steve etc, it was great to vicariously watch someone travelling and living life to the full and I still occasionally go back to watch them. Like a lot of people it caught me off guard when the vlogs suddenly ended at the end of 2017 and a month later you uploaded to say you'd had a bike accident, changed pretty much every aspect of your life and even had Bells palsy from all the stress! It seemed a shame that you so suddenly wished to cast away a lot of things you'd done so well over the years, but we all go on journeys of self discovery and it's great to see you back to vlogging albeit this time with a healthy balance of knowing yourself, and being more present in the moment. Keep doing what you do, you've got this 💪

Thanks for being here! Feeling emotions is simple, yet somehow becomes complicated... the process is one of letting go, surrendering to the feeling, allowing and accepting it, going into it deeper, which is complicated only when the mind gets in the way of the 'how' to surrender, if we are overthinking, we are usually under-feeling, the mind is busy trying to makes sense of chaos. Emotions are feminine energy; constantly changing and chaotic, they don't make 'sense', the mind is masculine and wants to makes sense of everything, which is why overthinking can get in the way of releasing emotions... It's also why men, generally, (masculine beings) do struggle to feel emotions, or rather they struggle to 'let go' and 'surrender' to the 'unknown' which is the process of feeling emotions, the mind likes to believe it's in control, and 'surrendering' is scary because it's a total lack of control... So, my advice I guess, would be firstly to notice where you're avoiding yourself through; scrolling, overeating, binge watching netflix, drinking, smoking, or anything that numbs you. Learning to sit with the discomfort of reality, is the key. Sometimes we disassociate from our body because the emotions we've repressed and suppressed don't go anywhere, and when we come into contact with them via a trigger it feels 'unsafe' to feel them fully because we simply were never taught how to be with them, especially anger, sadness, grief, but we also numb ourselves from joy and happiness in the process. If you're willing and able to feel your 'darker' shadow emotions like anger, sadness, grief, you'll then be able to experience more joy, happiness and excitement. Perhaps I could make a video about all this! I hope that's somewhat helpful x

I had issues with Adobe too, had to wait for the full 'year' of subscritpion to end to cancel. I believe they have hidden small prints saying youre stuck in the 'contract' yearly, even though its monthly payments

keep it going. excited to see you growing again. i liked the mandala. i would suggest that you should focus on promoting and selling more of your photos / prints / mandalas. i also think that the more you take us on the journey of getting to the 60k van (regular updates on the progress) the more people are tuned in and come back. this way the vlogs have a clearer, continous project guideline that makes you want to watch every vlog. keep the momentum going.

Bloody Adobe subscription is a nightmare to cancel, you usually have to pay a huge cancellation fee too. You need to log in on a desktop to cancel

Put out my graduation book from 2015 and read in it. I have put you as my biggest idol back then. The real mf lose it and get it all back to make sure they fuckin deserve it. There is a big "romantic" aspect in starting all over again. Wish you well man enjoy the intensity of live its the opposite of being dead.

Recharge the batteries and let the creativity pour out again. That'll make you money. You got this Ben :)

Hey! Thanks, yes I miss Cape Town for many reasons, mainly my friends are all there! TBH Cape Town is very inexpensive compared the UK, I've been earning £ and spending Rands, which is a great exchange rate. The coaching business was for a while making me just enough to get by, and I had to borrow some money, now it seems like I'm back in my financial flow, lot's of people are buying art and I feel I've been redirected towards that path :) I would 100% recommend Cape Town life, if you're making £ or $ or Euros it's a win :)

Ok I’ve been hesitant about commenting. I followed you back in the day. So from watching video this evening my thoughts are as follows. Your talents lie in photography art and video. You’ve been very successful with it in the past you could be successful with it in the future. The comments I’ve read have mostly said “I’d love this print or that print. Merch is great but you’ve said money is tight and that may require a preliminary investment. Maybe build up some cash first. The idea of online photography classes sharing your talent would also be great. Just some thoughts from an old subscriber. Cheers.

Adobe is a tough one to cancel, you have to log in on the base website and find your account section. You have to catch it before it renews as I think there’s a delay on cancellation or only certain times you can do it. Good luck. Took me about 6 months to finally get mine cancelled!!! (Do miss it tho, but can’t afford it!!!)

Have you ever considered to do a classical 9-5 in the film industry? I rewatched the mission selfie series I bought ages ago. You already have a catalogue of beautiful films, Audi ads and even a BBC documentary. Doing a classical 9-5 helps me a lot to have a structured day and I am doing amazing things there. It will jump start your plans to Van life etc.

For sure I've considered it, if the right job came along I'm sure I'd jump at it, but for now I'm going to focus on working for myself and delivering as much value as I can to you guys, it's my job to figure out how I can make money from this again :)

I got into videography through being inspired by creators like yourself, and now I do it for a living.. would you ever consider going for it in the professional photo/video world? You deffffinitely have the skills, and its not a bad way to make a living

Make the clock face of Big Ben into a camera lens art, gives me the impression that you stand out amongst the crowd in the UK (the height of Big Ben standing there alone) and then not to mention you being Ben and the clock being named Ben, it’s also easily recognizable to foreigners, and gives the impression with the camera lens replacing the clock face that you’re looking out over the entire UK for creativity and ideas to make new content and videos through that looking glass, could put some of the flowers around the base and maybe throughout the clock tower to tie in your past work, and put Cape Town behind the clock on the left side and the UK behind the clock on the right side, symbolizing your past and future and present being the clock tower? I can see it in my head but hopefully I’m describing it well enough

Maybe a mix between Gabriel Traveler and Sister Wendy would be nice.
