There is an Adapter-plate where you can attach the case to a Milwaukee packout. The small 'hole' for the M12 battery can be used if you take the plate out and use it in a drawer (I use it in my work van) then you can utilise the space for the battery.

Very nice, thank you for the video. We get a lot of stuff in America but we seem to always get shut out on many cool things, jdm cars and tools, cheap entry level cars including Toyotas new $10k truck. I still want to get the M12 fdpx installation driver

Great tool, I use impact drivers daily. But I use the E6 system and accessories widely available in Europe. I like Japanese tools. I have some vessel screwdrivers and they are great. I am not collecting tools and it's not practical for me to wait for my tools to be delivered from Japan. I'm using what's available. Wera makes good accessories. But anyway I like your channel and your tools, and the very informative videos. 👍👍👍👍

all milwaukee boxes are like that here in Denmark but stacking boxes doesnt make sense as you can only open the top one. the inserts for the small M12 tools seem like they have a lot of wasted space because the same cases also fit the M18 tools. But the cases are nice tho rip the inserts out and glue in some gripds of thin plywood and its good sorting boxes for what ever

Bosch at one point did what I think is the best case system concept I’ve ever seen: the tool comes with an insert like the one in the Milwaukee case. Except that the Bosch one was half size! So you can fit other random stuff in the case. Or two tools. The cases were sold separately. So you didn’t get a case you didn’t need. If you don’t want the case, the insert plastic isn’t that much waste.

Yes, the majority of my Bosch tools was shipped in a cardboard box an half insert. Depending on the tool different l-boxx sizes are available. It's a great system, and a rack system is available for vehicles.

@@fuloplehel This is not the case in Europe, where the cardboard box version is very rare. For this reason I have a lot of half empty Bosch and Milwaukee cases.

@@tamasfarkas7970 I am in Europe, and all the solo tools from bosch were shipped in a cardboard box and half of l-boxx insert. My new bosch gsr 18v-150 c solo tool does not include the l-boxx insert. In some cases you can buy the bare tool in a plastic case. Complete tool kits with batteries and charger are in plastic cases.

We get those boxes in the UK and they only stack with the same style box, but I think the majority end up in landfill.

  • @nominalvelocity

Those boxes seem quite a bit of waste, though I can see why they'd appeal to the Japanese sense/sensibility of presentation. If they're going to go that far, why not just include a lighter version of a packout case, though? It would virtually guarantee customers would buy more packout stuff, locking them into the system. 1) Nobody keeps their charger all tidy in the box anymore. Chuck that bitch in there. 2) It wouldn't survive long on a job site 3) even if you keep the charger and batteries all tidy but there's no room for any bits without them knocking around. I'd much rather they keep the box and save a few bucks, keep plastics out of the landfills and allow me to pick whatever storage solution best fits my needs.

I got M12 FQID, the version that is probably made to be sold in South Korea and China (judging by the label on the body which include Korean and Chinese). The chuck looks different from yours as it is about 2 times longer but accept both standard and Japanese bit without any problem.

Hello, i hope you still read comments. How did you know in the first place that JP was delivered with a specific chuck ? I can't find this information anywhere. I tried to compare the specs from Amzon from the EU/NA/JP version they all seems the same. I also tried to see if there was already some MODS available to swap the chuck yourself, but really can't find any information. Mine is a EU SOLD version arriving tomorrow with Vessel impact bits so im a bit worried haha. Thanks for your time

Reminds me of my brother after I bought him a bunch of JDM Japanese 13mm anvil bits...Vessel saksibo, Gosai, Anex, Sunflag beautiful reduced shank sets. I also bought him a 10.8v JDM Makita impact driver so he could use bits with adapter. He got the bits and cut them down so he could fit them in his 18V euro collet impact. 😢😮🤢🥵😠🤦‍♂️ I was sad, sick, angry & frustrated all at once.

I don't use my tools enough to care that much about warranty. To be honest when I buy a tool from Japan to Australia I almost kiss any warranty goodbye, but I bet they wouldn't notice a swapped out chuck or u could put the original back on. I have the 10.8v JDM Makita driver which accepts Japanese anvil bits. But while mine is less than year old, it's an OLD brushed motor design that's been around for a decade+. The Milwaukee M12 is a much nicer tool. But given the charger is no good and I can get batteries locally I thought why not just order a collet chuck & fit that so I could use my JDM bits.
