Great choice with the Makita XGT you'll get addicted to the range pretty quick, they are pretty sturdy tools very powerful great for bulk work etc only downside I feel is they can be quite heavy in the long run but preform great

That makes sense. I figured with a lot of the larger tools I’d go XGT and stay with Milwaukee for the usual drills and so forth. Especially as I’m having problems with the Milwaukee batteries with larger Ah.

If it wasn't given to you i would have suggested changing to the 270mm track compatible circular saw. The makita stuff is alittle heavier (agree with other commenter) but i have found smoother and just nicer to use than a milwaukee or dewalt even if they are a little less powerful. Just my experience with carpentry tools. The two nail guns seem to be a copy/slight improvement on the hikoki guns so they will serve you very well but i would suggest the 3.0ah high output batteries as any weight saving is worth it as they are heavy guns. I am not sure what you will use the 23g pin nailer for as most house renovation only need a framing gun and 15 or 16g nailer. 23g is more for holding very small trims together while glue dries. Look forward to seeing how you find the mitre saw as well as the aws connectivity (something that is sorely lacking on milwaukee tools). All the best with the reno. Phil, builder, Melbourne.

Cheers for the feedback mate. I only just saw the track compatible circ. Looks like a few are doing it now. I’d love to see the differences and which I would actually utilise more. Really the 23g pin nailer will be more for furniture making. I have an air brad nailer I wanted to upgrade. You read mind with the nailers and the battery. I used it this week with the 3ah high output. Works great and feels lighter. Have an awesome night 🍻

  • @AddictedtoTools

Usually the only problem is the batteries. As you have to buy new batteries and then carry an extra charger. The deal with the two nailers, 2 batteries and the charger was heaps cheaper though so that could be a good move. From all the feedback I got about the Milwaukee nailers compared to anything makita, I feel that’s the way to go. Let me know if you needed some more info and let me know how you go
