8th gen is so underrated. Can’t wait to see more on the 9th gen.
I’m from co and flew out to Mississippi to buy a Fa5 k24/k20. Drove the car all the way back no issues. One of best experiences ever. I’ve had the car since June 10 now

Back in September of 2019 I found a jem. I got a white FA5 with only 49k miles, one owner car, clean car fax, all maintenance done at Honda. The car was all stock, except the radio was changed. Cost me 10k. I did change all fluids, all shocks were changed and the engine mount changed. I plan on keeping it stock. I did buy some 18 inch HFP wheels for it. Just went over 60k miles. I love this car. Great video.

Thanks for your educational help! I flew one way a couple months ago to buy a one owner, completely stock 2011 FA5 with 60K miles. It was repainted under warranty too! I looked for one over a year till I found this one 800 miles away. It's ultra clean and really fun to drive. I plan to modify the suspension to increase handling. IHE + K-Pro and a tune this year.

Fuel gauge and speed not working is cracked solder joints, Takes about 30 minutes to fix for even beginners to circuit repair.

Looking at a 06 si with 189k miles on it. 1 Owner, clutch replaces at 120k, new front brakes and tires. Paint definitely is bad near the front like you mentioned. Its got one code, p0420 which might be a bad cat. Guy is asking $4500 for it. Kinda on the fence and want to offer 4k. Would you say thats a good deal? Car overall mechanically does not seem bad. Just a lot of miles. It hasnt been modified.
@ProjectRad
Жыл бұрын
So I have a lot to say about this one. So since it’s the 06 it has the bad transmission and just be aware it’s probably gonna be grinding or popping out of gear. With 189k miles you might want to keep an eye out for another motor pretty soon since it is a k20 and oil consumption might be a problem. But $4000 is pretty cheap. I’d offer 3.5k and see. If this is going to be your daily though… I’d pass and look for one in better shape.

Totally the 9th gen is a lot more refined and just more mature! I think the interior of the 8th ages well though with its curved lines. Plus not to hard to modify abit to make it look better with, better stereo, wheel, hybrid shifter and few other changes.

Worst thing i ever see done to these 8th gens are when people put turbos on it in their driveway. That R18 is not made to handle a turbo. An you will see, shortly after you put the turbo on, the engine dies

iv been looking at a 8th gen civic si for sale near me. Theres this nice one with low miles but it has a black dip stick and missing the valve cover that says V-Tech....think this means its been modified in the past?
@ProjectRad
Жыл бұрын
Most likely yes. But sometimes when people do maintenance they take that grey cover off and keep it off since it doesn’t do anything. And the black dip stick is most likely a k tuned dip stick to prevent the oil pressure to leak out that dipstick spot. That’s not a bad thing but that usually means it’s been modded.
