Butter cookies

Today we are going to make some fantastic butter cookies that will delight children and adults alike. If you have guests, they will be the perfect complement to coffee, tea or any other beverage you wish, although on their own they are also a real treat.
You can decorate them as you like. I have used dark chocolate and some decorations I had at home, but if you use milk chocolate, white chocolate, nuts, candied cherries or whatever you like and have on hand, they will also be spectacular.
Try to make sure that, if you use chocolate, it is very hot when you dip the cookies, so it will be more fluid. Think that, due to the porous texture of the cookies, the chocolate will penetrate them and, when it cools down, it will not only remain a superficial layer, but you will see how it slightly penetrates inside, preventing it from coming off with a blow. In addition, the flavor will be much more intense and delicate than if you dip them in colder, thicker chocolate.
If you do not have vanilla sugar, you can put a few drops of vanilla essence or, better, the seeds of a quarter of a natural vanilla pod. But do not overuse this aroma, it is a matter of giving it a vanilla touch, not that this flavor dominates to the point of masking that of the butter.
Remember that if you really want the cookies to have a fine texture, it is best to sift the flour.
As for the butter, do not save on it. Use good quality fresh butter. Your palate will appreciate it. And keep in mind that it must be smooth, that is to say, soft but not completely melted so that it integrates perfectly.

120 gr (0.25 lb) sugar
½ tablespoon vanilla sugar
100 gr (0.20 lb) of butter
2 eggs
20 g (0.4 lb) baking powder
