Butte County’s Farm Bureau President: Walt Stile

Walt Stile, a fourth-generation farmer and current president of the Butte County Farm Bureau, has a unique background. After attending law school in Seattle and practicing law for ten years, Walt and his family moved to Butte County, where he has been farming commodities like walnuts for over three decades. Walt serves on the Board of the Butte County Farm Bureau and is no stranger to the challenges that farmers and ranchers face. Thanks to Farm Bureau's successful efforts in fighting against unfavorable policies, these issues have been resolved. Walt says, “without California Farm Bureau and our different counties, I don’t think we’d be farming today.”
