This guy should cake walk into Cooperstown. He’s literally done everything as a player. Rookie of The Year, MVP, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, multiple time All-Star and not to mention a three time World Series champion. Great Career Buster Posey.

I remember being at work with my dad listening to the radio hearing the Giants drafted a kid named Buster Posey. My dad told me he seems like he's gonna be something special. My dad passed away in 2017. But I know he's somewhere right now saying "Hellyeah! Posey's gonna be in the HoF. He deserves it with that grand slam against the Reds in the playoffs!" Posey. Forever Giant.

I started watching baseball sometime during the 2009 season when I was 8, and I’m probably one of the luckiest MLB fans out there. Me, my dad, my grandfather, are all Giants fans. They watched years and years of highs and lows, which excluded a World Series championship. One of the first games I watched was Posey’s debut, and within the first 5 full seasons I was a fan of the game, Posey helped lead San Fran to 3 championships. He wasn’t just a great hitter, he wasn’t just a great defender, he wasn’t just a great pitch framer, but a great person for his family and community. I got to grow up watching Buster Posey be such an amazing role model. Winning in 2010 was the first time I saw my dad cry. The first time I donated money to charity was for Buster’s own for pediatric cancer. I saw him get hurt, get old, and have a decline in stats. Then I saw him come back to form in 2021. He’s legitimately impacted my life and I know he has too for many others. Buster Posey - 3X WS Champion - MVP - Countless other Awards - Future HOFer - Inspirational Icon - A Role Model for Many He will forever be my favorite player in all of sports, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Thank you Buster Posey.

I've been a Giants fan since the first moment I walked into Candlestick Park at age 10 in 1975. There have been times when it was embarrassing to be a Giants fan. I had season tickets in 1985. True Giants fans understand the agony of the post-Mays/pre-Clark era. There has never been anyone like Buster. He is the greatest catcher in Giants history, and the best gifts we, as Giants fans, have ever received. I hope someday we see Buster in a Giants uniform again, managing our team to match the success he had as a player. But either way, I'm full of appreciation for the 12 seasons we were privileged enough to witness this phenomenon that has been Buster Posey's career. He is a Giant.

34 is pretty young for an MLB star to be fair, but I feel his retirement has a lot to do with him just wanting to be home with his family combined with his long list of injuries. He's never fully recovered from that collision at home a decade ago, he had to take 2020 off for his lingering hip issue which killed his offense in 18 and 19. (I know that's not why he took it off but that's why he was a great hitter this year). I just wish he had given us some more notice, but i understand that he's not the guy to want a massive retirement tour.

I'm a Northern CA gal - & my family for however far back you can get: Niners & Giants - & I'll say: I cannot hardly imagine the Giants without Buster - just ain't right...... I'm sure my family will sorely miss my sick dance moves when Buster nailed it I'd be all 'Bust a move, bust a move'.... No more bustin' a move :(

The opposite field (almost) splash hit from this year will be one I remember. I have never seen a home run like it. Also that 17th inning one against the Reds was the best. Instead of a bat flip, you get a "Finally, let's go home."

Came here to post out of pure respect. Classic example of a player you like, but hate to go against. From everything I could see, he played the game the right way. No brainer hall of famer.

when I was little and I went up to bat my grandma used to say “here comes buster posey!!”. I didn’t know what it meant but I liked it. When I was abt 7 I figured out what it meant. I’ve been watching buster posey ever since. Best catcher off all time (I am now 13)

Giants baseball has always been good pitching and good hitting. It’s a misconception that The Giants did it all with pitching. We dominated the at-bat. Posey was THE GUY. He set the tone on defense with his relationship with the pitching staff, AND his bat which was so crucial. Man, I love being a Giants fan

Wow, it's where my hatred ends with Buster Posey. As a Dodgers fan, I hated him in a respectable way because his batting average was so high against us and I hated it whenever he came up on a plate and whenever we are batting because Buster was such a good catcher who would even throw lot of base stealers out too. Now, I'm sad that we are going to miss him play at a high calibre level. Buster Posey, you will always be remembered as one of two Giants players who have given Dodgers fan like myself a nightmare but at the same time, I wish you best post baseball career life. You deserve every glory you get and you deserve Hall of Fame. Farewell. I and every mlb fans will(and not during your games against us🤣) miss you.
