All businesses have processes in place, however not all processes work the way they're supposed to. The method of Business Process Modeling can address inefficiencies, however they can be complex to setup and the proper method requires a subject matter expert to define the process.
In this video, I simplify the Business Process Modeling Method so that anyone can apply the technique. Not only is this method effective, it's a fun and engaging way to get your team involved in identifying a process within your organization.

I've used 'how to make toast' several times in BPM and BHAG sessions -- I would say Ed that you should attribute this 'model/approach' to its designer Tom Wujec. It's a particular bugbear of mine - we all leverage what we know to help others, it's important to give credit where credit is due.
