I would love the durability, fashion and number of uses.
One of the biggest reasons why Japanese family business can span hundreds of years; business is more important than bloodline. In Japan, a business owner doesn't necessarily will hand over the family business to their biological son(s), especially when he/she deemed them as unworthy and unfit to run the company. Instead the owners will adopt someone outside the family - very often son-in-law - that seen as fit for job, where he will be required to change his legal surname to the adopted family. Which in return makes him relinquish all legal and inheritance claims of his biological family. In case of small establishments like izakayas or food services, very often the long time customers will take over when the owners put it up for sale. This is when no other family members want to continue the business. This makes Japanese society unique among most East Asian societies where usually bloodline comes first. In most other East Asian countries, having a biological son is a must and giving the company leadership to them is necessary no matter how incompetent they are. Giving the business to someone outside the bloodline is considered unthinkable, utter nonsense, even blasphemy. In Japan, neither birthright nor bloodline will guarantee a place in family's businesses succession line.

Thank you for this comment. Good to know.
As a customer, I have always valued Quality over Quantity. I grew up in the 80's were commodities seemed to last longer than these days. Also, J believe the recent pandemic made me realize that Sustainability is the key. Hopefully starting a business soon.

That is one thing I love about Japan...the obsession with quality.
The book Invincible Company gives you a case by case study of numerous companies and yes several are Japanese!
Longevity, sustainability and quality
Amazing video as always! Although it's a shame for detail that the pronunciation of some phrases was very "english", I expected Alux to keep an eye on this detail. "Oki-yaku-san wa kaami-saamaa deisu" is an unfortunate mispronunciation of "o-kyaku-san wa kami-sana desu"
Quality, sustainability and longevity is really matters, great video.
I'm really keen on the idea of quality over quantity. I also really love your last tip, alux!
The answer to this question is simple but i my self have not yet learned enough to answer it so I will answer this question again in future which I know is very near ❤

You gave me the mindset to invest my savings now I have made profits over $120k Right now and still making more , I am enjoying a good life with what I made investing. Indeed ‚building a Portfolio income (investing) through a licensed investment adviser is one out of many ways to earn passive income.*

If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a hugh mistake. I understand it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to build a generational wealth and cultivate financial knowledge, you must be in the Market.

A lot of people keeps talking about investments and how investment trade change their lives. I really need to engage myself in someway of earning more income and stop depending on the government
I'd strive to build a business with goods that amuse and delight the customers.
Very interesting Video. I love Japan and never thought about all of that :)
As far as I know, Jim Bean is the only U.S. company over 200 years old which is still being ran by the same family (7th generation in charge now). Obviously, none of us will be around but I wonder which company will be the first American Shinise company

Elegant simplicity
That's the reason why Honda, Toyota and Suzuki dominate the Indian auto market while American brands like Chevorlet and Ford kept struggling and finally winded up their business here
First
Good.
🧡🤍💚🥰 from LEO 👍🙏🇮🇳
Honda & Toyota, enough said.
They have a different mindset, a different perspective on doing good quality things
Yeah, seems like US businesses absolutely despise their customers and see them as a means to an end.
Definitely play the long game. Not only is getting a quick buck usually a bad thing, but most companies I've seen that do this tend to end up screwing the customer over and while I'm all for building wealth, it shouldn't be at the sacrifice of excellence. Take buggy software for instance. Companies release software fast to get profits sooner but it ends up being super buggy. Releasing really buggy software may not hurt the bottom line at first but it's only a matter of time before people become frustrated with it and move on to something less buggy even if the software they move to has less features. This tends to happen a lot these days in the gaming industry.
Alux love u guys always droping nuke info😍
If i were to build a Buisiness then i will focus on the product like giving a gift or thankyou card. I personally 🤔 that the core value of a Buisiness in Customer trust.
People are dying of exhaustion sweetheart in Japan….

It is said that in Japan it takes 10 years to master the art of peeling a potato and another 10 to perfectly fry them.
