Bus to Surigao City Mindanao

After a relaxing couple of days in Butuan City we decided to hop on a bus bound for Surigao City, Mindanao. Before leaving Butuan, Cristina rated our stay at the Grand Palace Hotel at 1.2 or 1.3 thumbs - I'm not quite sure which. A dream was involved in her calculations. You will have to watch the video. Surigao City is going to be our next stay because it is the port giving access to Siargao Island - a paradise kind of place that we have wanted to visit for several years now. #joecristina #morefuninthephilippines #philippinetravel #balikbayan #filipinocanadian #philippines #butuancity #surigaocity

I write a column - about 600 words - for a Canadian environmental news magazine based in my home province of British Columbia. It's called the Watershed Sentinel. My column is called Wild Times and runs on the back pages of the magazine around page 35 give or take a couple. You can find back issues on-line here: watershedsentinel.ca/issues/

@@joefoyvideos I used to have a book about british columbia wildlife. There was a lynx and a bobcat. It's one of my most favourite book but sadly I lost it while riding a tricycle. 😢

@@juno3189 Sorry for you that you lost your BC wildlife book. British Columbia does have some amazing wild forests and wild animals. I got to see a pair of lynx one time in the wild. Wow. Those cats had long legs. Got to see a cougar up close one time too. I was slowly driving a pickup truck up a narrow mountain road and the cougar leaped from the hillside and landed only a few feet from the front of the truck. Looked right at me and then leaped into the forest as if its legs were springs.
