Bursig Center-Lift Stand for Lulay's Ducati Diavel - First Look and Assembly

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I looked all over for a stand that would get the bike up off of both wheels so I could do maintenance and cleaning and the best one I
could find was made by Bursig. They are a Germany company that has a distributor in California. I'm in Oregon, so it landed at my house just two days after talking to their sales rep. The stand is great quality and assembly was easy. It took me some time to get it adjusted spot on for my bike, but once I did it mounted quickly and worked great. I really like that I can easily roll it to the
sidewalk where I wash my bike. Quick lift and I can easily wash all areas of the bike much easier on the stand.

Hey Larry, just received my Bursig, 2011 Diavel....my biggest question to you though is how to get the pesky frame plugs out? Man they are in there and I can't think of a way to get them out while trying not to mess up the frame paint. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

It's been around 5 years ago, so can't remember how... but I do remember the pain! You might want to try Google for Diavel frame plugs

Hey I just got mine in, how much did you torque it?

If you are referring to the bolt that attaches the frame mount to the stand, I don't have a torque wrench that big and I don't recall seeing that spec in their install docs (but I'm sure Bursig could tell you if asked). The socket set I have is huge and you saw the size of bolt, so I figured there was no way to break it... so I gave it all I had :) If you are talking about the frame bolt when putting their adapter that mounts inside the bike's frame, that depends on your bikes factory spec.

How did it manage on the sidewalk with the smallish castors?

It did fine. I think largely because they seem to use really good quality parts.

+issam mansour Hi issam. Sorry my little video didn't live up to your standards. If you've seen my videos before you would know that I am not a paid instructional technician... I just buy stuff and whip out my cell phone and record while I'm going through the process and share observations as I go. The good news for you is that you watched my video for FREE - I didn't charge you anything nor did I make a penny from your visit. If you don't like what you get for free, there is a big ole Internet out there and maybe if you continue your search you will find what your looking for. At the time I made this video, I didn't find any videos re: using the Bursig stand with a Ducati Diavel than what I did... and hopefully it made a little more sense to someone more simple minded like myself.
