@@RitaHunter-ru1vs if the DA had more authority over policing the numbers wouldn't be so high. and you bring up unemployment like the DA has the worst record and the reason why there is so much crime in the WC is because most of the data is shown off of reported crime, people in other provinces don't report crime because they know how bad SAPS is(which is run by National Gov btw). In the rest of the country 7 out of 10 people don't have a job, whereas in the Cape, 8 out of 10 people DO have a job. the province with highest employment rate is the WC and if the cape was so bad...why are there more people migrating to the cape than any other province in the country.

DA got over 20% of the vote in 2019 which means the majority of their voters are blacks and coloureds since whites make up 7% of the SA population . So people are slowly changing. I wish people could give them a chance for 5 yrs and if they fail we vote them out. They consistently use western cape as an example of good government wonder what they would do if they run the whole country. Wish someone can give us a simulation of how different parties would run SA. In these days of AI why can't someone build a simulation model.

The most painful aspect regarding SA politics has everything to do with "identity/ grievance politics". The dream scenario is one where SA truly embraces diversity. Diversity means just that, not race quotas or any other preferential treatment for certain groups. The DA is given the worst time by media, and by basically everyone in SA who is against diversity.

The provblem is that proper social housing isn't built overnight, but CPT for example is doing the best at building proper social housing for the poor.

The party's membership and their voter base is too diverse to take a side without pissing off the other side especially since its an election year and they can't afford to lose votes bc of a conflict(which is quite tragic) that doesn't effect everyday South Africans unlike things like loadshedding and unemployment. The coalition there inhereted a PTA municpality that was for 2 years (unconstitutionally) under ANC provincial administration where they ruined the metro finances and its infrastucture. And before they and the EFF(unfortunately) took over in 2016, they have to try and fix 20+ years of maladministration and other problems. These problems isn't going to be fixed overnight. They firstly want to as quickly as possible pay off any debt to reduce the interest rate burden on the local tax payers before any huge infrastructure repairs and maintanance can happen everywhere. They are starting to fix in certain areas, but realisticly they can't be everywhere all at once fixing everything. Rome wasn't built in a day and the metro wasn't ruined overnight and it won't be fixed overnight either.

@@tonitappous2422 Please post it here. You do realize that comparing anything to the ANC and calling it a success is ingenious. Please post PHOTOS as well, and some interviews with people living in these areas. I saw an ad of the DA showing the roads, nothing about townships. NEWS FLASH! Poor people do not care about potholes in the roads.

I don't agree. Clearly you don't know what is going on in ANC run municipalities. Just look at Bloemfontein everywhere has potholes not just the poor areas. You complain about Khayaletsa but you don't look at the overall issue

@@lieselwesselsart Until places like Khayelitsha are safe, has running water, electricity . proper schools and hospitals, your words are empty. Using the ANC as a yard stick to be measured against is just lazy. ANYONE who cares, will run municipalities better than the ANC. You are comparing yourself to the dumbest kid in the class if the ANC is your standard.

Your DA government opened a container class school for the black residents right across CURRO academy here in the MIDVAAL, where must the kids gets dignity and respect if across the road they are watching other kids across the road enjoy first class schooling and resources, DA is going to loose this Municipality watch and see!
