Windclan had a disabled deputy and technically I think Nightstar had asthma or some kind of illness that kept him from being an actual warrior. It's the clans who are making it like this. There was no reason Thunderclan couldn't ask Dead foot for advice on cinderpelt

In the beginning of warriors, Starclan seems like such a distant and beautiful concept to the cats. Only later do they realize that Starclan isn’t all that amazing. This map represents that idea perfectly, and I’m so happy I stumbled upon this!

WolfieGamerHowls snowkit was deaf and as for mosskit, that was more on bluestar for traveling in the snow. There was nothing for snowkit to do. He couldn’t be a medicine cat or a warrior as he needs to hear to do anything. Like a cat pointed out, what could he do if he can’t see signals? Or how can a medicine cat teach him how to heal if he can’t hear the mentor words? Unlike humans they don’t have sign language or can write

I absolutely love 2:50 Cinderpelts expression is so creative yet it describes her life perfectly. Her face is litteraly explaining "wow thanks Starclan for allowing this to happen. guess i'm a medicine cat now whos full priority is to respect you. i could've been a warrior. thanks" I love it, it explains that Cinderpelt is awfully upset with Starclan and just ugh. Also her name was Brightsky- Brambleberry (The medicine cat at the time) even said; ""It wasn’t an omen. Sometimes bad things happen. What I mean for Silverstream, is she is the only cat to die from actually giving birth. The other queens getting sick and then dying, isn't the same. She's not the only queen who gave birth outside of the clan so it seems pretty dang dumb for her to die like that when it absolutely never happens again.

I feel like Goosefeather's curse is the worst of all of these (spiritually, maybe not physically, lol) just because every other cat can ask StarClan, "Why did you LET this happen to me?" while he asks, "Why did you DO this to me?" Poor dude. What was the point of his power other than for him to suffer?

This map actually inspired my theory on how cats are sorted after death. My theory is that Starclan has no control. The fate of a dead cat is decided by how they're viewed when they die. If they're viewed favorably, then they go to starclan. If not, then they go to the dark forest. It would explain cats like mapleshade- oakstar was the one to spin the narrative when he banished her and appledusk does the same (mapleshade still is at fault here though, she does start a killing spree). Ashfur was for the most part, a loyal average warrior and as far as people know so he'd go to starclan because no one knows about the fire scene besides those present. And thisleclaw was viewed as firce warrior and was banished from starclan AFTER bluestar arrived.

Honestly lilywhisker and brightflower as darkforest cats would've shook the perspective of the ivypool arc up so much in an interesting way "Wait then why are you in here?" "Because I'm an atheist since starclan screwed me over" Like could you imagine ivypool and lilywhisker talking? Then her arguing against the scrutiny of the dark forest would have backbone, or like what happened to antpelt and snowtuft where they went to the dark forest because they died training there

Goosefeather’s story was the most depressing for me to read next to probably Badgerfang’s and Mapleshade’s. Its the reason I had started looking into the theory of the Starclan cats just being evil and manipulative.

If you think about it, Starclan may be responsible for the dark forest. And maybe they allowed it to occur because they wanted to be seen as the “good” side.

The animation and concept of this is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The fact that starclan cats are personally viewing each misfortune with detached interest almost shakes the viewer to their core. The symbolism of the orange for all starclans favours and mistakes (firehearts eyes are covered in the orange and crookedkits destroyed jaw being that colour) is astounding and seamless. My favourite moment is when spottedleaf melds into one of the unidentifiable cats, showing that this is what starclan has become, a bunch of detached spirits that are watching the clans like entertainment and cherry picking who they help. Edit: Can i just point out one more detail I love out of this amazing map? When you see cinderpelt smiling begrudgingly you can see a heart on her chest, hinting at her difficult further life as cinderheart. It's so simple and a minor detail and I love it.

Imagine a storyline where the clans come together and find out how truly manipulative Starclan are and the clans try to break free from them all the while Starclan tries anything they can to tear down the clans into believing in them again bc if nobody believes in starclan, they would fade and become simple spirits like the wandering loner and kittypet spirits. It could make a cool series finale where the clans look back at everything that happened and how much Starclan lied about helping the clans or manipulated cats into following a destiny Starclan found desirable and choose to fight back with the help of some Starclan cats that act as spies for the clans.

I love how amazing this is. It hit me really hard and took my breath away. I love how Spottedleaf was such a bright cat but shown to become one of the bitter and cold Star Clan cat after death. A cat bitter with their life and how Star Clan refused to help them becomes a Star Clan so angered by the unfairness that they refuse to help living cats. The cycle continues.

I am pretty sure Sunstar didn't get the full 9 lives from StarClan. Pinestar used his last to be a kittypet, so that was the one StarClan subtracted from Sunstar.

I agree with you, Nightstar should have gotten them all (or minus one if StarClan wanted to be exact). I guess StarClan were just being jerks that day or the ShadowClan portion of StarClan really wanted to follow rules while the ThunderClan part doesn't care. We don't know what these unwritten/unspoken rules of StarClan are so maybe they physically weren't able to give lives if the leader does not abdicate voluntarily, or else they thought there would be anarchy if they just hand out lives to any cat that declares themselves leader of a Clan whether or not one was still alive. Of course the obvious answer is that the Erins didn't know how else to make Tigerstar leader quickly if Nightstar had all of his, so Nightstar had to die due to plot convenience.

The golden aesthetic is wonderful and I loved the ending scene when Spottedleaf became one of them. Also, thank you for putting what cats were featured in the credits.

This is my headcanon: Starclan isn't all perfect, as shown. Cats there hold grudges against living cats, and can even make up prophecies of their own without anyone else's knowledge. Interfering in real life to make those prophecies come true. There are sort of "high ranks" in Starclan, such as Bluestar and other leaders and medicine cats, since they already had a connection with starclan while they were living. They are in charge of making most prophecies, and to make sure they are fulfilled they send out warriors into the real world. Starclan cats can kill and hurt living cats, and even starclan cats, but only go to the dark forest if it's known by the high ranks. The high ranks have meetings to discuss the prophecies, and other cats such as warriors and apprentices can take part. -I may come up with more of this later--

Everything bad that happened in warriors in 3 minutes and 3 seconds. In all seriousness, this MAP is great.

Holy sweet peppers that last part with Spottedleaf legit gave me chills. No way this was done in 24 hours, there's just no way. This is so amazing!

I would’ve loved to seen hollyleaf ivypool and yellowfang in this! They’ve definitely been screwed over by starclan. I love this idea and the song choice is so fitting!

Me too, especially yellow fang, I mean due to her ability to scence Other cats pain she was made a medicine cat and got separated from her mate whom was horrible to Her, had most of her kits die and had To give up her living son to an abusive she cat and she watched Become such a murderous leader And get betrayed by her OWN son.

So many things about this MAP gave me chills. The symbolism of the gold color was absolutely stunning and sometimes haunting to see. The way most of the wrongs were on time with the music was absolutely chilling. Especially with Brightheart and Longtail (in my opinion). Such a stunning video. I only like MAPS when I really love them (which doesn't mean too much in the grand scheme of KZread) and this video has certainly earned a like

The part with Violetshine just absolutely *broke* me

This map is PERFECT There needed to be a map to take out everyone’s frustration at Starclan

I find it odd that Nightstar couldn't get his nine lives, I don't think he did anything wrong (I may be wrong) yet TIGERSTAR who murdered so many cats and tried to murder his own leader get his. Makes no sense to me.

My biggest frustration with StarClan is probably Goosefeather’s curse. He sees what is about to happen, and he can never do anything about it? No matter what he does, he can never stop the horrible things StarClan tells him will happen? I love Goosefeather, he’s my favorite character, but oh my God, Erins, *where is your logic? No wonder he went insane.*

Deadfoot broke his foot but got to be warrior. Cinderpelt broke her leg but had to become a med cat. Another reason why Windclan is better.

candy tv either way it still could cause a bit of problems I’m pretty sure a cat with an amputee can still hunt and fight. Just not as well Not to mention Cinder could still walk on her leg just not for too long

I like the detail that all the bad things and the Starclan are colored in the same color. The map is awesome

Interesting- it almost makes it seem like becoming a starclan cat causes you to become sort of apathetic about the lives of the living cats. I guess it makes sense. All they do is look down on the petty squabbles of the clan cats. And they’ve already experienced pain and death, now they lounge peacefully. Why should they care if cats get suffer and die? All is well in starclan. (This was my personal headcanon until the books ruined it for me)

Fun fact:Starclan is just a bunch of lying and gaslighting cats living in the sky

Is NO ONE going to talk about the credits at 3:18?! They are the coolest credits I'VE ever seen!

I actually have a fan series where a group of Starclan cats got corrupted and decided to fight for the dark forest, manipulating the living clans. But Starclan didn’t do anything about it, so the *ancients* took it into their paws and chose three cats to help save the clans from the group of starclan’s terror-teaching the clans that Starclan isn’t perfect, and never, *ever* will be. They start making there own decisions after that, instead of looking to Starclan for everything. Of course, they still watch Starclan, because it’s warriors and they can’t get their mouse-brains to work correctly and see the truth.

Recommenting because yes: My original comment said That Tigerstar received his lives from The Dark Forest. You gotta remember there are leaders and cats they knew and loved there too. But the more I watch this map, the more frustrated and annoyed I get. Literally all of these problems could’ve been prevented. Example: Cinderpelt. “Hey don’t go to the Thunderpath today. You’ll get really close to dying but you won’t die and you’ll have a crippled leg forever.” But what REALLY annoys me is their second life policy. “Yeah you have a crippled leg and lived your life helping cats anyway but we’re gonna give you another life.” Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing and of course Cinderpelt (Who really didn’t need it) got second life. By Starclan’s logic that means Longtail Badgerfang Mosskit Snowkit Jayfeather again Foxpelt Icecloud Ferncloud Mapleshade Mapleshade’s Kits Ravenpaw Needletail Crookedstar Fallen Leaves Feathertail Whitethroat Flametail Hawkfrost Forgot to add Thistleclaw and Scrouge And SO MANY MORE cats this list doesn’t even cover half of them

Everyone did so good!!! Crow and ginger, I don’t know what to say but that this is so good!!! At first I misread the map call and thought it was a bluestar map lol and I remember clear sky losing his wives very vividly because I just finished the sun trail on Friday. And yes I wish I could have done a part, but I don’t know how to animate yet, cuz I just got an h420 for Christmas and I’m still using crappy Microsoft paint with it. And since I’m not even done with the new phrophecy, I actually understood most of the map without the disc of the map call. Anyway, to everyone who put their time and effort into this, especially Crowla and ginger with the those credits, I couldn’t stop rewatching. Anyway if you did read this whole thing, thank you, and amazing job all of you.

That longtail part hit so hard I cried.

Watching this map just reminded me of a thought I have. Idk if anyone has the same thought but apparently for me, cats that ended up in Starclan behaved very differently than when they were alive, they’re very off-character to me. It felt like something happened that changed them and made them this bad.

The part when Longtail gets blinded by that rabbit, gave me chills. 😳👏🏾

Wow This is definitely one of the best maps I've seen, no joke. An eye catching beautiful thumbnail, and gosh the animation is just goregeous even though This Map had a time limit everyone did so good. Also, the color scheme works realy well with Starclan being gold and the message is really hauntingly true. Those cats did deserve better, and now the concept of Starclan isn't that wonderful anymore. There were so many tragedies that could be avoided. It's true that those chosen cats and prophecies save the clans many times, but at what cost? This MAP fits the injustice those cats face and this is what dedication and skill results in.

IM SMILING AND SHAKING,,, HHHH tysm for letting me in this!!! everyone did so well, this is by far my favourite map,, it's the best map experience ive been in and like,, everyone is so talented and kind!!! also, we finished this in ONE WEEK.. WE ALL DESERVE A MEDAL,, tysm crow and ginger for hosting this masterpiece ❤️

dang this map is amazing! I love it and it points out the flaws in starclan. Starclan in my opinion, caused many cats to turn evil and go against them. They probably had a vision of mapleshade going evil, then decided WOOPS! FLOOD. but.. In the end where did that go? and all the many times similar things happened. Tigerstar getting lives at the ceremony... oh my god how stupid is starclan. YOU SAY HES EVIL AS HES BORN. HES EVIL. YES. OKAY YEP! NO EVIL HERE JUST A GOOD CAT. IGNORE THE DAMN CATS HES MURDERED! AND THE MANY HE ATTEMPTED TO MURDER! Starclan has just caused this themselves and probably don't even realize it. I hope they understand how much they've screwed up and fix it. (and I have only read where onestar and darktail die, sooo I don't know really what happens after that soo idk what the heck starclan has screwed up this time)

the last shot was the most powerful in the map for me. i feel like cinderpelt really does embody the powerlessness of starclan. she was never intended to become a medicine cat, an entirely unplanned and unpredicted event, not even by starclan. and yet, she continued on, and while she was condemned to never being able to taste the life of a warrior ever again, she still made herself of use, laughed in starclan's faces, because despite everything she did it - she won. her destiny was out of control of starclan and i think that's what makes her so special to me. she paved her own way out of her own power and will and she succeeded

Does anybody else feel that Firestar just wouldn't stand this about Starclan? He yelled at his adopted clan mom for abandoning an entire clan of cats because of the number trees, broke the warrior code to help others several times it's just - I really feel like he would take one look at the shit Starclan does and abandon his religion to free the clans from it's abuse.

I loved all of this, just. AAAHHH! (Also, Tallstar’s was probs my favorite. We don’t get much Tallstar alone, and the way that the background and cats turned gold was just, mwah!) Edit: Also, whoever did the credit art, it’s beautiful!

Forgive me if I’m off the mark here, but I love how that last part really illustrates what happens when a cat dies! If I’m right,, when a cat who has passed goes to starclan, they keep their usual personality and appearance and doesn’t change at all,,, until they have some sort of major or minor heartbreak about the living cats. THEN they become a more emotionless automation version of their spirit self. That is sick as hell, I love this! Everyone did amazing on their parts!!

Omg I love this map! I love how every part moves to the beat of the song! And I love the expressions of every part! Wow everyone did amazing! And HOW IS THERE ALREADY DISLIKES!?

I LOVE THIS MAP SO MUCH!!! 💜💜The artwork is INCREDIBLE and this whole map just shows SO much meaning!!!!! I've been watching this on repeat since it came out!!!!! 🔥🌟🔥

That ending tho, gives me chills. I think it would be cool if some cats were ashamed or scared to go to star clan because of what starclan did to them.

I just realized - Is there symbolism behind the blood being yellow just as StarClan is? Like StarClan being nearly directly responsible for the bloodshed, tears, and trouble going on between the Clans?

Let me just say, this is the first map I've seen in a long time where every single part is perfectly synced, on top of that having their own unique beauty in their part
