It makes much more sense for Pinestar's twolegs to name him Mr. Spaghetti Sauce than it is for them to *totally coincidentally* just name him a shortened version of his warrior name.

Pinestar’s kittypet name being coincidentally “Pine” never really made sense to me It would make more sense if the kittypet name was completely different (like Birdpaw/wing of SkyClan being called “Flossie” by a nice human who gave her food and medical treatment or Rippletail of ShadowClan being named “Buster” by his new owners after he left the Clans)

@@shadowyzephyr One could argue that prolonged human interaction caused them to learn some words/sound patterns and figure out which ones are associated with them (like picking up phrases from playing video games in another language maybe?) but this has also wracked my brain from time to time, along with the series' handling of dog language. Buuuut I just think it makes more sense considering the goofy things people name their cats lol

As a kid I always thought that he lied about getting 9 lives but nope! Starclan gave him 9 lives! But they also gave Brokenstar 9 lives and denied poor Nightstar. All these designs are adorable btw

i always assumed that was the intention but apparently not? i know they said it's because his injuries were too much for even starclan to heal but i like to think one of his lives was actually a curse which is why he died the way he did.

“Oh mY GoSH We’rE TWiNs!” had me dying.

The fact that Redscar faked a sign so Flowerstar would be leader is actually so interesting because it’s not expected a medicine cat would do such a thing. It would be so cool if the Erin’s gave us an evil medicine cat!!! I hope someday we can see the difference between fate and situations like that because I wonder what starclan thinks when that happens. It also sucks how starclan is so mysterious and we never actually find out if characters like Mothwing are supposed to be medicine cats or not. Like we know the sign was faked but I mean an actual confirmation in the books she should go back to being a warrior or not. Or how it’s ironic there was no reason for Alderheart to be a medicine cat and was thrust into it, but unlike other characters (such as Shadowsight) he just happens to have an actual connection to them.

Hard agree on that. Other more popular villains like Scourge, Hawkfrost, Ashfur, Mapleshade and Darktail may come and go, but for me the OG Tigerstar would always be the best. He is like Scar from the Lion King and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast rolled into one cool evil kitty.

As someone who knows who none of these cats are, that makes a lot of sense. (I mean, I know Tigerstar, Badgerfang, Whitestorm, Whitetail, and Pinestar (I coulda sworn his dad was Rowanstar lol. I literally can't tell them apart, they both have sons named Tigerstar, they're both red, both leaders, both gave up leadership...) I've literally only read two non manga books.
