pity he skips facts Like this was found back in the 70's and 80's by the same guy who found Noah's ark and the Arc of the covenant .... and the waters were parted by the Arc not a hand ... t says so in the bible when Joshua does it for the for the Jordan in the same way it was done in the red sea ... and Chasu means Chosen ... which he never mentions ... I will give that he is a good story teller though just incomplete

I would argue that Moses wasn't anticipating crossing the Red Sea, He was fleeing Pharaoh's' army and when they arrived Moses' only option was to call out to God for help and it was God that led Moses and the Israelites across the Red Sea not Moses.

If this theory was correct, even the phenomenon of the waves/lake coast receding and then the volcano erupting at the same time the Israelites were fleeing from the Egyptians shows me how God saved them. On top of that, there are the 10 plagues that happened that led to this event-more miracles to consider. There are no coincidences with God. He is in control of all things-including the waves and that volcano (Matthew 8:27, Romans 11:36). Very interesting documentary!

The story of the Exodus from Egypt is completely fabricated. The Israelites were not in Egypt, and there is no historical evidence confirming their presence on any Egyptian manuscript or mural. But it is certain that they were in Yemen for a long time, and perhaps Ethiopia, and exited through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

_@Albert Lin_ -- This video did a good job of illustrating the false trails of the Exodus, but it didn't explore the most likely route. In fact, there was no mention of it at all. Three significant points were overlooked: (1) the Bible says the Hebrews lived in Goshen while they were in Egypt, which was on the East side of the Nile delta, (2) the Bible repeatedly says that the Hebrews exited Egypt when they crossed the sea and the Sinai Peninsula was part of Egypt at that time, and (3) the Hebrews must have crossed into Midian (Arabia today) after crossing the sea because that's where several of their way points are located (like the oasis with twelve springs). With the above in mind, the Straits of Tiran is the likely crossing point through the sea (at the Southern end of the Gulf of Aqaba). It contains a hidden land bridge where the water is shallow. Mount Sinai must be located in Arabia and Jabal al-Lawz is the most likely and contains obvious evidence. Please view the 2003 documentary _The Search for the Real Mt. Sinai_ which shows the expedition of Cornuke and Williams to Jabal al-Lawz in Arabia. They illustrate the most likely route for the Exodus.

I was going to argue the same thing. The position of Mt.Sinai had been told to be misinterpreted and if we look at the real location of Mt. Sinai, which is actually located in Arabia, it makes more sense than the original theory behind where the red sea is. Positioning the real mt.sinai gives more clarity into where the red sea is located and logically makes more sense.

As an egyptologist I can say that there are so many errors in the facts presented particularly Ramses II who has been proved to not be the pharaoh of exodus, it was between Amose and Amenhotep II. As A film maker, well this is a low drop for Natgeo. A channel I once looked up to, its all over blown and dramatic... not what you used to put out. The fact you have to say (A city named Luxor) its not some mystical place no-one knows about! Also you show a drone shot saying Luxor, when its clearly Aswan, and showed Rasmes III at Habu when you say Ramses II. These are the types of errors you can expect from a low grade company, but a channel like this should have the best information to not show made up things to the public. Natgeo has gone down.

Really appreciate the feedback. Speaking only for myself, I think these documentaries are at least an attempt to introduce Some element of science to what is otherwise a very emotional topic. We Muslims had a very similar experience when Dan Gibson posited the idea that the original "Mecca" was not in Saude Arabia but in Jordan (see: Petra). "Scholars" all over the Islamic world exploded. The fact is that people like their illusions and don't deal well with having those illusions rocked around. FWIW.

Not sure if it was Dr. Wyatt or not, but I've seen underwater video footage which showed the broken coral-covered shapes of chariot wheels in the most shallow spot of the proposed crossing. One of the broken wheels appeared to be gold-plated, so it didn't have any coral growing on it. This was shown on the TBN tv channel I watched in early 2000-something. That visual evidence was all I needed to be convinced that was the actual spot of the crossing. We can't know the actual distance in miles of the crossing back in that day so long ago, nor the original depth of the sea at that spot. Geography often changes over hundreds of years wherever bodies of water are involved. The government in control of this area has outlawed exploratory removal of underwater artifacts and evidence. The political power structure of that area is clearly not supportive of the biblical Exodus story.

Ya the timeline is abit off isn’t it? From 1250BC, he said there might be a more violent ending based on the memory of more than one event (ie. assumptions which he did not prove), and went straight to Santorini tsunami which isn’t coherent or at least doesn’t explain anything unless we assume it’s truly a combination of >1 event.. I’d be more satisfied or convinced if this - combi of >1 event assumption - was at least proven with some archaeological evidence tt they are related… you know? Hypothesis or sthg at the very least… what’s the point of showing the Santorini event if it’s only assumption? That’s not the premise of his shows, or was it? But then again he said it’s his quest. I’m disappointed… I only believe up till Reed Sea cuz i read elsewhere before too

Faced with the challenge of authoritarian system to democratic system, that is, the problem of bad currency driving out good currency. A democratic country must understand one fact: Chinese factory workers are all "farmers", and the Chinese government takes advantage of these "low human rights" and cheap labor advantages, which leads to unfair competition in the global market where products produced in China are priced below market cost. To change this unfair situation, democratic countries must urge and pressure the Chinese government to improve the human rights and welfare protection of the majority of lower class Chinese people. Trade sanctions and anti-dumping measures cannot solve the fundamental problem. Only when the human rights and welfare benefits of the majority of Chinese migrant workers are improved can the labor rights and market competition of the United States and the European Union be protected from harm, and we cannot watch the unfortunate consequences of bad currency driving out good currency continue to develop. Therefore, democratic countries must help all migrant workers at the bottom of China to speak out and exert pressure on their human rights, instead of focusing solely on the human rights situation in Xinjiang, Xizang, Hong Kong and dissident defenders. Only by improving the human rights of the majority of Chinese at the bottom can we safeguard fair competition in the world. This is an unavoidable problem in globalization, because we are all citizens of the earth.

No proof so far for this story, until now the Exodus from Egypt is completely fabricated. The Israelites were not in Egypt, and there is no historical evidence confirming their presence on any Egyptian manuscript or mural, nothing at all... But it is certain that they were in Yemen for a long time, and perhaps Ethiopia, and exited may happened through the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

If the eruption was took place at the time the Israelites were passing thru the Red Sea, how then that the only affected are the Egyptian Soldier? What happen to the Egyptian people living near the sea? If the Volcano erupted that strong and created tsunami, how come that the Israelites just walk across the sea and the Egyptian soldier who are riding on their chariots /horses died?

All these is answered in the Bible. ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:21‭-‬28‬ ‭NIV‬‬ [21] Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided, [22] and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left. [23] The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea. [24] During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion. [25] He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.” [26] Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” [27] Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place. The Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord swept them into the sea. [28] The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen-the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.

Your “experts” are incorrect. To have any understanding of the possibility that the tale has any validity, you must begin with the recorded Egyptian history and determine where the Hebrew narrative coincides based upon scientific evidence, not on the Hebrew account that was written a thousand years after the event. There is a timeline that based upon scientific evidence, and recorded Egyptian history, that the Hebrew narrative would have occurred, where there are no ambiguities, contradictions or impossibilities. And it is NOT during the reign of Ramses II !

Thanks, Albert Lin, for this amazing documentary. The bible comes alive right Infront of me. Think more could be added to the documentary like an undersea remnant of a perished army. Whether it as a tsunami caused what happened and such a timing that it's at the moment the Israelites are fleeing that the sea parted and closed exactly when the Egyptians were about to cross? Such a coincidence?
