THIS STORY:
A Filipino cult group accused her of adultery, kidnapped her, and beat her up. Then they buried her alive.
Her murder made it to the headlines of newspapers around the world-but 90 years later she is still awaiting justice.
THIS CHANNEL:
_________________________________________________________
The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

So horrible. She did nothing wrong and was murdered because some bad man was harming another woman. And here, a group of women participated in her murder for her witnessing another woman being harmed. Just horrid. Blessings to Celine and her family. The others will have a miserable eternity which they chose when they decided to do this to another.

She was so young with children and husband to take care of. Cruelty in a gang never ceases to disgust me, and that guy spoke up a year later? He was also guilty. The justice for this woman - those people that killed her will meet her in another world and will be judged there by Celine. What happened to her husband, finally? Was he aware of what was happening? Have a great day, 🙂PS Thank-you for remembering her, it's a harsh story.

What a terrible ordeal for this poor woman. Thank you for telling her story. Do you know what happened to her husband? I see he is not buried next to her. I wonder what happened to her children, thank goodness she had sent them back to the Phillipines, it would have been unbearable for them to be living amongst the murderers in the Phillipino community. I am sure the descendants of the murderers must feel some shame, how on earth were the perpetrators acquitted of this awful crime. I hope she is resting in peace with her husband.

I have never heard of this story and I lived in Cebu Philippines for 4 yrs. It's sad in that no one has been held accountable for this but you're right their living descendants should be ashamed of what their ancestors did. There are Lodges in the Philippines and after living there for a few years I still don't know the significance of them other than that of providing Fraternity but there is always a dark side to all of these things. I do know that in Filipino culture one's reputation is extremely so much so that to the current day someone can file a case against someone for libel. I don't know what role culture played in this horrific and sad story.

Such a sad story 😢one of my longtime friends is married to a Philippino girl that strangely enough he met via a wrong number. She changed his life for so much better. You are right they are tremendously kind people, and nice to a fault. I stayed with them for a few months years ago and I’ll tell you those women can cook their backsides off. My friend even tried to hook me up with a girl from the Philippines but I passed. He is going to retire there and wanted me to come and help him run a bar he bought there. I’ll pass on that too. Such a shame no one was brought to account for her murder. Well they have to explain it to our maker. I just remembered my friend and his wife are in the Philippines now.

What a horrible story Ron. I can,t even imagine what that poor woman went thru. Plus, to be beaten and buried alive only to have the perpetrators getting acquitted of murder. Just disgusting! R.I.P. Celine.❤😢
