I miss Burger 🍔 Chef. It was the best. Eve Plumb can take my order anytime. I liked their hamburgers. Super chef burger. French fries. Cola. Garden salad and apple turnover. When I was a kid. I had every toy. Prize you can think of.

I hope that burger chef comes back to Ft.Wayne,Indiana again. I miss that place. I used to eat there in my childhood.

Jan can serve me a Burger anytime.

Burger Chef was the BEST!.......I loved this commercial and always sing along with it whenever I play this U-Tube. Thank God this video was made possible for the great memories. Maybe, just maybe, a company will bring back this super burger chain!

I remember Mr. Cook had bought BC out years ago and had the same menu, then a small local store owner opened a old Mr. Cook in Lafayette , La. On the Scott, La. side of town with the same menu as Mr. Cook the breakfast menu brought back fond memories.. @thediscgolf

My mom and dad used to go there. I like the idea of building your own burger.

Eve Plumb was so Cute and Beautiful as well as the Kid's Big Sister in the 1977 Burger Chef's Mariner One! Build your own Burger Bar was Awesome! Sad Burger Chef had to close, Miss the Food, Dress Attires, Utensils and Smiling Chef Face sign. Thank-You For Sharing and God Bless!

I enjoyed Burger Chef growing up in Escanaba,Michigan.It later became Hardee's.Still around now.

I really was hoping Eve would be sporting her Afro in this commercial. I always liked the new Jan Brady best.

My first job was in 1980 at a burger chef in Decatur, Alabama, I was 16 will never forget it. The food was great, beat the hell out of mcDs and burger king. We would trade food with other fast food joints while we were working usually long john silvers and pizza hut, I swear food was so much better back then, remember the Rancher ? or the Mariner? that was a lot of food for the money, the super chef? damn good food, wish I could go back.

Burger Chef was pretty much history by 1980. After the 1978 Speedway Massacre, the Burger Chef chain went to into a downward spiral and never recovered, eventually getting brought out and absorbed by Hardee’s.

They had the best kids meals and toys... even floppy 45rpm records with the characters from the toys and commercials.

Wow! Haven't seen a Burger Chef since I was a teen (maybe 1975).

We would call it Berger Death for fun. Late 70s early 80s, when I was a poor college student, I would get a plain hamburger and then take it over to the works bar and load it with things like tomato, lettuce, pickles, onions, ketchup and make a meal of it.

I’ve never even HEARD of burger chef until today!

My Uncles, Aunts, & My Mom never heard of Burger Chef We lived in a different state. It would be nice if Burger Chef back in Business

When I was in my teens everybody drove around Burger Chef that was the place to be seen . Now in my 60s the teens hang out in Walmarts parking lot. Just parking and yelling no class.

The Big Chef was my first foray into the territories of anything but completely plain cheese burgers growing up. Hardees should bring back the old Burger Chef classics again, back east this time if not nationwide

There was one I used to frequent in the 70s and very early 80s right on US RTE 1 in Seabrook, NH. As fast food goes, SO much better than any of the competitors (McD's, Burger King, etc.). Too bad they weren't still around, along with Jack in the Box. There was one of those in Plaistow, NH, right on the state line, up until the late 70s.

The last Burger Chef I seen was in Taylorville IL. They had those 45 records back then.

I never got to eat at a Burger Chef. Hardee's bought them out the year I was born.

My high school girlfriend worked at one from 1975-78. Food was a lot better than McDonalds by far.

Something about this commercial is so addicting. Can we get rid of all the Hardees in Indiana and convert them back to Burger Chefs? Miss the quick service, the works bar and Eve Plumb commercials.

I loved Burger Chef back in the day! Burger King always screwed up my orders, Burger Chef never did!

A shame I never tried them, then again, the first time I had Hardee's was in 1997, so I could've been close to eating them

It is amazing....not picking on Burger Chef in any way at all, but how a child actor such as Eve Plumb had to go from a hit series to a commercial as such, is a mystery

I miss Burger Chef. The Fun Meals were rad. A plain burger with a little salt & pepper on it - magic.

@pogotwister I remember the best fUnmeal games were the one they gave you a game board and you built a town on the board with houses and stores and cars with trucks and fun things... When you bought a product you got a property almost like a monopoly game or life....

I never saw any singing people at my Burger Chef.

I love Eve Plumb all the time. She is one great Taurus woman

The works bar was great. Doing it yourself made it right. If i remember though, you could opt out for them to put the condiments and veggies on.

1977.She still had her Long Hair at the time.She has shorter Hair now.

"Here's the story,of a girl named Brady,who went to work for Burger Chef after the show"......lol :P

Real Jan would rather do a commercial, than a weekly television series with her Brady Family in '77.

Wow! I saw that, too! Must've been a long way for her to fall, from being Jan Brady to playing an anonymous employee of Burger Chef in one of their ads! Bet she was sorry she didn't agree to take that big payout and reunite with her fellow Bradys for that EXCELLENT-but-short-lived-variety show! (Please note sarcasm in that last statement)

BC is Long Gone, but the same building is still there under a different franchise now. And Golden Skateworld West is also, Long Gone. Powhite Parkway / 76 runs through where the skating place was

I don't recall Burger CHef. Then again I've lived on the west coast all of my life. I love Marcia, Jan you';re sweet too (when GERI REISCHL plays you).

I know some people who have been celebrities. Just because somebody is famous or on TV doesn't mean they're rich. It's a job and they might be making a lot at one time, but eventually, they're not, and that money doesn't last as long as you think. You see somebody on TV and you think they're rich, but that's not always the case. Just heard an interview with a former NFL player turned Congressman talking about how many NFL players are bankrupt just a couple of years after they retire because the money doesn't last forever.

I think it's funny that she was degraded.

I would have thought the Burger Chef commercial would have come before the hit tv show, not after.

100% beef? So relieving to learn.

Eve Plumb didn't do the "Variety Hour" because she didn't want to sign another five year contract with Paramount and be stuck playing Jan Brady forever. She was also playing a teenager runaway turned prostitute in a couple of movies at the time. Yes, this was a step down though and I say this as a HUGE Eve Plumb fan.
