I loved watching your grandmother! She was phenomenal! Then I searched "how to play bunco" and landed on this video. Now I'll have to watch more.

Thank you! Nana just loved Bunco, she had whole notebooks full of played games with us and from solo games. I got her hooked on Pass the Pigs which became her second favorite “dice game.” Lots of great memories! Thanks for watching.
Your story of playing the game, even over the phone, with your grandma was absolutely precious.
That your grandmother would call you and say you beat her at solitaire Bunco just warmed my heart! What a sweet memory! Thanks for the lesson! I'm going to a Bunco party next weekend and I've never played before so this was very helpful!

Yes, it's really a happy memory. Good luck at the Bunco meet up. Be warned they can get a bit chaotic, but you should have the basics down!
Awww!! I didn't know you are Ms. Clara's grandson!! I was searching for Bunco rules and came across this video. I love her cooking videos! She is such an inspiration, and her legacy lives on with the amazing videos and cookbook! Big hugs to you and your family. ❤

Thank you so much. She and I played endless games of Bunco and Scopa, so it’s been nice to share a bit more of her magic here. Thanks for the kind words!

My own 98 year old Grandma just passed a few days ago. Our hearts are heavy with grief, but we will cherish the many wonderful memories we have of her. ❤ hugs.
This is the kind of content I need more of in my lonely life. Cool! So awesome and with the sauce, so awesome!

Very helpful
Hey thanks!! I had already loved your Nana for years (i found her channel on happenstance), and now just found this because someone asked me to a bunco game.......I'd never played it, but I had heard about it somewhere.....now I know it was from Clara's youtube channel! She is such a beautiful woman and I feel like I wish she was my Nana too. You are so blessed, and thank you to both of your for such great shares. May God continue to Bless your whole family 💗💓💕

Same story for me!
Your Nana is adorable. She might have known my grandma, she also lived in Chicago. Going to my first Bunco game tonight. It should be fun. Thanks for the tips!!!

Good luck!
Awesome that you included the PDF score sheet! It would be great if you could create one for your Scopa video, maybe make it modifiable to add/delete rules based on region/family tradition

So kinda like the game I play called run for it, using six dice
Love simple and quick games, I’m sure this will be a hit. Also I think I see sushi go! in the corner of some shots

I grew up in Chicago. I well remember those card tables squeezed into our front room with women screaming Bunco in a frenzy. 😊
@Play-In-Games just to confirm, you keep rolling on your turn until you dont roll the number of the round? And you win the round by having the highest points for that round?
@Play-In-Games
Ай бұрын
Yes that’s fairly close. You can also continue rolling if you get triples of another number. In terms of ending a round it’s the first person to roll 21 or more points who ends the round as the winner.
In the casual way do you just not switch tables? The table switching is the part that has been confused because the score sheet then is confusing.
@Play-In-Games

Correct! No switching tables when playing for fun. You'll likely be playing with a smaller group, so one table should suffice.
How do I get your PDF of the bunco sheet

@@Play-In-Games it’s free. Really the only reason to cover it. A better suggestion: any domino games played in your house not covered anywhere else?
I cannot see the pdf score sheet.

Oh no! The link seems to work for me. Don’t believe you need to have a Gmail account to access the google drive links, but I’ll look into it.
If it's a game of pure luck, why there are so many tournaments of it?
@Play-In-Games
Жыл бұрын
Great question. I suppose for the same reasons as there are so many Bingo tournaments; fund raising, social gathering and the thrill of winning, even if it’s by shear luck.
If you "win instantly" with 21 pts...why do you keep rolling?

So it's like Yahtzee for people who don't like playing dice games which are pretending to be a cards game.

That's a fair call.
Sounds stupid but maybe its not since it actually has a following. Still, doesn't sound like anything very special
