That’s exactly the way I did it on the Hammond B3 back in the day, my preacher didn’t like me putting that worldly beat to hymns, but I had the glory and I knew the lord was on my side.

@@dspiffy Look him up! Like you, he grew up in COGIC and he has that churchy sound. He's from Oklahoma. Sometimes the titles on his videos are a little offensive. They call him "Brian "whiteboy" Jepsen. He has a real, deep-down churchy cogic sound.

He was Evangelist A. A. Allen's organist from 1958 to 1970. Ask some of the saints over 65, they might remember him. There are posts of some of his old albums here on youtube playing for Rev. Allen and Rev. Gene Martin. Understandably, there's also a British Tory MP of the same name as well.@@dspiffy

Oil it with Hammond Oil. Don't overfill the cups. Wait a day. Try again. Play chromatic scales on each drawbar, every day. That will also clean the contacts. Repeat up to once a week for a month, once a month for a year.

Devonye Babb I’m a cogic organist and I’m 47. Never in my life have I heard a cogic organist play this tempo unless they’re from down south. Up north here in Philadelphia,NYC, Jersey, DC area Baltimore, then over to the Midwest with Ohio, Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago, st Louise,Kansas and out to California bumps be faster. Cogic has always been about up tempo

I don’t mean to be rude or anything but this is basically just like one of us white holiness folks meetins but maybe add some wooden floors to shout on and some tambourines and cymbals!

All of the white evangelical/charismatic/pentecostal denominations were originally under CH Mason, the white Bishops split off because they didnt want to serve a black man. White holiness churches are copying black churches, but for years excluded black members. Some still do.
