I think it's best if it's effective. You meet attractive people who are OK but not that compatible to share a life with them. You are dating or even be with someone for a year and be back for more. Love is rare, so even if you are dateable you will spend a lot of time on the app. If it doesn't work at all - I don't think they make that much money from those frustrated people.

Most apps at that time allowed men to message women freely which resulted in a lot of hate, and sexual messages. That isn't the problem. Marriage is dead and the future is polygyny. Look at Bumble's abortive height filter - 82% of women had the filter, and only 30% included 5' 10 - only 15% included the average of 5 9". More included 7 foot than the average. Women simply are not attracted - sexually - to men who are not in the top 20% or less of men. Women not putting in effort? Are you nuts? Have you seen the shit they do for Chads? It's fucking crazy simp stuff. They throw every at those guys, money included. Ultimately, the world will need to accept a norm where Chads have like 5 or 6 women and the rest of us dudes go do something else. What that is I have no idea. Historically, it meant fighting wars, but wars are now so utterly destructive that this is not a realistic option - maybe something like the Aztec Flower wars.

I was on Bumble for a while and I'd match with dozens of women and they'd almost never message first. They just want a self-esteem boost.
My fiancée & I met on Bumble in 2018. My first message to him was more than just a "hey," and I actually showed that I was interested in getting know him in person. After the 1st date, I knew we had something special, though yes we took things slow(we both had offal experiencs with past dates & on Tinder, okcupid). We both worked our butts off to buy our first home in 2022. Now getting married in August at the beach!!😇 We have the same goals, values, & most importantly God!❤️

The whiplash only exists because people can't bring themselves to admit this reality. The "answer" is that humans are entering a polygynous era. In the future, Chads will have 5 or 6 women and the women will work to support the kids. The remaining 80 or 90 percent of dudes will just have to go do something else. Not sure what that ends with

With seeing how sophisticated AI has become, I no longer see any reason to use online dating apps. There is no protection from AI chat bots on any of these sites.
Dating apps are fixed against men. Waaay more men use dating apps than women and studies show that while men typically “like” over half of the women they see, women only “like” a tiny fraction of the men they come across. Unless you’re tall, handsome, and/or rich, you don’t stand much of a chance at having regular matches. Most women will have dozens or even hundreds of men hitting them up at any given time while most men will be lucky to have a single woman want to connect with them. It’s a giant pool of every guy in the general area and unless you’re at the top of everyone else, you aren’t getting picked. Survival of the fittest. It’s superficial Darwinism in action. Then some of the apps like Tinder or CMB will literally filter out girls who like you from the pool of potential matches so you’ll be forced to buy “premium” to see them, and then half of those are bot accounts. It’s EXHAUSTING. So I’m done. I’m giving it to God and letting Him find me a woman because all my years of heartache have yet to get me any closer to marriage.

I haven't used Bumble since before the Pandemic. What struck me was that a lot of women put links to their other social media accounts like Instagram in their Bumble profiles. This is because they didn't want to make the first move. They wanted men to make the first move by messaging them on Instagram. This proved to me that the whole idea of Bumble where women could make the first move was flawed.

There is nothing about dating apps that is beneficial to society. Nothing. I will die on that hill. I know some people meet their significant other on dating apps and have had wonderful experiences…. But those are few and far between. Without dating apps, i doubt hookup culture would be what it is today. Without dating apps, “men are trash” wouldn’t be on the lips of so many women. Without dating apps, men wouldn’t be questioning every thing they say for fear of being called “creepy”. It’s insane.

Dating apps ruin mental health of the guys. And they give much too much power and attention to a women. And lets be honest. If u are women and u heave 20 extremely desperate guys simping to u. Such attention and beeing desired would just corrupt and entitle u. Current dating both in dating apps and in general life heave completly screwed up balance. Never before one gender like guys were so incredible lonlely and opposite gender like women so incredible desperatly desired. Its obviously unhealthy. And good for neather gender. I think geniually dating apps are doing more harm then good and i would say that anybody heave much more chances in risking and geting to know a women in random places not designed for it at all then there. Sadly. The main problem here lies much much deeper then just dating apps. Even that obviously IT give its own share of curse into this world and help to spread IT up. But the source of problem still lies within current wokkie culture. That bassicly helped people to avoid responsibility for theirs own actions, broke, a familly values and promoted hook up culture.
