Not sure if medical research has been done, but to me there's no doubt anecdotally that riding keeps one physically, mentally, relationally and spiritually fit. Ride on Uncle Bill!

@@robertodebeers2551 thanks for mentioning the late Red Drennon. I knew nothing about him but just read a little bit about him online. Guess he was a heck of a nice guy who owned a cycle shop in Helena and was an avid pilot among other adventures. Pretty cool!

Motorcycles saved my life. I was in the grips of a violent alcohol addiction and was white knuckling quitting booze. A few years ago, I completely immersed myself in dirt bikes. I have met so many good people riding who have the same mentality as I do and completely changed my life. Got my CR250 in Sept 2020 and found your guys' channel shortly after! Appreciate you guys a lot.

She'd plunk up some big hills with a "I'm hardly working hard at all" rasp eminating from that beautiful exhaust it has. Bultacos really are the creme de la creme of vintage trials.

I love the expertise with which you present these bikes. I'm sure the Ossa man could tell you a thing or two about Santiagoo Herrero's rotary valve monocoque Grand Prix bike. Back then the Japanese didn't know how to build two-strokes. The Spaniards and especially the people from MZ showed the way. I own two Ossa Wildfire, one in parts, one rebuilt as a racer in the sixties. MZ anyway... Great channel! Keep it up!

You speak the truth, Suzuki was involved in corporate espionage and recruited a famous R&D guy who worked with the chief engineer at MZ(his name escapes me) the R&D guy defected and brought with him Reams of stolen blue prints and this is what put Suzuki in business in the 60’s. The MZ engineer was already experimenting with power valves on his engines. Far ahead of his time. Technology which would not show up in production bikes for more than a decade. The first Suzuki dirt bikes that Roger DeCoster became famous riding were MZ technology in the late 60’s and early 70’s. I was a young boy in 1970 and my first motorcycle was a Suzuki 50cc two stroke in 1970. Little did I know !!! I learned to ride on stolen technology.

Hope to see you again at the Vintage Festival at Barbers this year. I live 8 miles from the track. I would love to visit your museum some day! As an English teen in the 70's I had a 73 Sherpa 250, it was another world compared to the old Greeves I learned on. Just like that I was able to compete in local club events. I was not so good at it, but knew the bike could do it all, so it was down to me. Spectating in 76 at the British round of the World Championship, I watched the Bultaco works riders Martin Lampkin & Yrjo Vesterinen on what looked very much like the same bike the experts in my club were riding. There are not many motorsports where a clubman can buy a "factory" grade machine & win out of the showroom.

Beautiful bike! I don’t know much about bultacos other than a 370 pursang my son helped me to fix up for g.p. In the vintage class . That thing hauled the mail no problem, but I turned into sissy when it beat me into submission a few times. As far as trials goes some of the stuff these guys and girls are doing now is mind boggling !

Absolutely gorgeous bike I remember my nephew had I’m sure it was a Yamaha TY 80 i used to take him out on and wow what a blast. It probably only did maybe 40 flat out tops i used to love putting him on the front and that little thing it would climb almost vertical hills maybe 2 stories high effortlessly 2nd Or 3rd gear just lug right up them with a little run absolutely loved that little bike would’ve loved something bigger like that gorgeous bultaco or any older trials bike so much fun but i guess you can’t have everything right. Unless you’re name is Ken Kaplan sr you lucky old dog while people like me have to settle for memories you’re still living the dream jk 😁 that’s why I’m subscribed to your channel your videos always bring back such great memories 👍👌 ML&R and god bless your whole family keep living the dream stay safe buddy.

Very nice, but the foot is not positioned right on the pegs! You stood stand on your foot palm on the foot rest that gives you additional travel of moving the body up and down and very importand if you lean towards the front your foot will not stuck out beneth the foot rest and will be very vunerable towards coming rocks in stone sections. To the bike that is a very nice example of well cared Bultaco Sherpa and as the rails beneath the engineantthe inbetween welded bash plate are still in very good state, not scratches or warped it has not been used much as a trials bike either. I like the frame layout of that model too becaus it was the narrowest frame Bultace had build so it cornes better the later models except for the 199b wehre they changed th layout towards better handling. Anyway it should be ridden i trails, I personal had an extra bash plate an my Sherpa made out of aluminium with a cushing/layer of mooserubber inbetween which helped taht the lower rails and bash survived very well, you can too use a PA6 plastic then it even glides over the stones.
