My favorite watch! I am going on ten years and it's still accurate, changed the battery only 2 times so far. It's such a beautiful design with a fun tachymeter, down to 1/1000 second for motorsports. Will not stop wearing until its no longer serviceable. With the carbon fiber and balanced look, its truly a piece of art. Very few watches have a sweeping smooth second hand, maybe Rolex and that's a huge financial jump.

I hardly wear my Precisionist, but I would never be able to get rid of it because it was my first Father’s Day gift! Another great video man. Bulova needs to slim down their watches.

I must admit it was the second hand sweep that attracted me to this. It could fool the most astute observer that it's a high beat mechanical movement, but yeah, it's a dinner plate but it's an American brand, and big and brash is what you guys love 😅 What's cool is that if you press the chronograph mode button at 3 o'clock, it centres the sweeping hand and you can leave it static without chronograph running, just like you would a mechanical. Will likely increase battery life. Then when you want the seconds hand running again just press the same button again. Now if only they'd do it in 40mm

@@AvgJoeWatchReviews it’s quite large. It’s one thing to see it in a video and another to have it on your wrist. I have an Invicta Grand Diver, and the dial sizes are similar, but the Bulova is a much more massive chunk of stainless steel.

I've since had to buy another watch box as I've branched out a bit, I've bought a Bulova Marine Star and an Timex Expedition North with the built in compass and tide gauge. I"ve got some nice ones, but nothing that has the presence the Precisionist has. Large and in charge. That's a fact.

Man, one of, actually two my favourite watches run the uhf bulova movement. Sorry three. A snorkel, a moon watch on bracelet and the moon watch on strap. Sorry, 4. The precisionist X as well. The moon watches and the snorkel rock, flawless timekeeping and beautiful pieces. The Precionist X I got just because of the movement, it’s a monster. Some of the Precionist models look like a foot, no question. But what a great movement. Nice trade by the way. Gotta love Bulova for the history and the innovation, maybe not the design all the time. I get the same timing on mine, just crazy accurate. Good review man, keep it up.

I have owned one myself for several years and it is a very big, heavy watch and it does look rather large on your wrist. Luckily I have an even larger wrist and it looks great while wearing it. Great video! I love it and it's never leaving my watch collection. I love it on the bracelet and the weight of it on my 6 3/4 inch wrist don't bother me due to the fact a few of my Invictas are heavier. The curved crystal definitely adds depth to the dial. 10 seconds fast a year puts it in 5 most accurate quartz watches in the world! Longines and that crazy expensive Citizen watch are 5 seconds a year gainers! Very special piece since it's from you. When we did the trade I got lots of flack for trading the Spaceview to you due to bow tie lugs very Rare. But at end of the day we are both happy and that is all that matters! Bulova stopped stating it is +/-10 seconds a year as it has proved to be incorrect. It is +/-5 seconds a month or +/-60 seconds a year which is still fantastic.

It’s a looker- in these days of 50-55” dials- (which I would never ever wear,)it’s an amazing watch. I have the 10th Anniversary X with a leather band and the DAMASCUS STEEL-top ring on bezel. Also a gorgeous Curved Sapphire Crystal. You’re not lugging that stainless Huge bracelet. I agree it’s a bit aggressive sized, but I love it. Most of my watches are 44-47mm. The technology is outrageous at this price point. Great video.

It caught my eye yesterday, so i picked it up. I am just now researching it haha. I love it, first watxh purchase. ❤

Sorry to hear it's leaving the collection, I've had it for 4 years now and I've added the 2 ladies precisionist 96r226 and 96r227 40mm for the size reason you outlined, the diamonds on the bezel is not most people's cup of tea but I don't mind it and actually gives some actual protection! I just love the technology and the movement and the fact not many people know this watch and is so underrated!

Man I had the same type of precisionist and I loved the movement, it was perfect...Way too big for me though, had to move it on.

Mine came today. Took out 2 links, fits like a glove. Both watch boxes are full now, time for a break from purchasing, but I can still watch reviews and make a list.

The size and the smooth seconds hand were two main reasons that I ordered this watch, as well as its lineage to the Accutron. However, congrats on your Bulova Space Veiw. I have this watch in gold i love it such a show peice it is large and heavy so i dont wear it every day but it is a great watch

I’m so impressed with your G-Wall background, or are you inside a massive light box, or inside that BULOVA LML My world, the weight of it is house bricks, and even the case is modded on a house brick LML It’s just over engineered, I guess they threw in a few viagra’s in the liquid metal process to bulk it up.... enough of the mocking, I have to start off with the video presentation, really liked the easy flow with the subtle background music, and liked the wrist chat section.... I currently don’t have a BULOVA in my collection, but not so long ago had a lovely ACCUQUARTZ from the 70’s, but got a good offer so flipped it, but the sweep is certainly very satisfying ;) Loved the chronograph actions, especially with that double handed sub-dial catching both the 10th and 100th ;) I’ve seen these for sale, but never seen a review on one until yours... and I’m so pleased it was your review ;) Big lugs and thumbs my good friend, and cheers for sharing.... The watch is huge! The overall size of the face is not horrible to me, its the height! Sits up way too high, it's too thick. Wish I returned it but I thought I'd eventually get to love it. I didnt. Its been sitting in my watch case for about 10yrs now.

Could always sell it or trade. The watch is desired amongst others and wouldn’t be hard to unload as you’d get another watch in the process.

There is a second size Bulova Precisionist and it is called the Accutron ll, it is much smaller and I own one myself, the only difference is, it is not as accurate as the larger models, but it is an exceptional watch, it will gain about 44 seconds in one year, it is also made to look like one of the older styles of the 1960's, it is a beautiful watch that sells for about $650.

The tech is cool but I got some because they look ballin

This isn't necessarily directed at you, but I see a lot of people talking smack about Precisionists and most Invictas because of their size, but I have 8 1/2" wrists. My Precisionist looks perfectly at home on me. People always act like I'm trying to be hyper masculine by mentioning that 40mm watches look like women's watches on me. It makes no sense. I'm just big. What am I supposed to say?? It's like a 5-foot tall dude trying on big & tall clothing, and yelling, "Who's this made for?? It's so BAGGY! Who could this possibly fit?!" ME, dude! *_ME._*_ "I"_ wear big & tall. You know, because I'm BIG AND TALL?? LOL. People truly cannot fathom that they may not be the target demographic for some things.

I looked at this watch a couple of years ago. I was in love with it until I saw the size. Just too big for me. Now the same technology in a smaller, less busy dial, I would go for that. Like the 96B158 but it's just not calling to me. The Lunar Pilot also has the precisioninist technology, but something tells me it's also too big. The Accutron spaceview however, great trade!

Great review. I almost fell for that model, but I really find it huge and tacky. Fortunately found a hi frequency quartz Bulova at 42 mm, the Moonview. You can always find a design that better suits your current style. Thanks and best regards

The size is what attracted me to this watch . There are a lot of big guys that can appreciate a watch that doesn't look like a Tylenol on a piece of dental floss on your wrist .

The size isn't really the issue for me. The fact that it's too busy to easily read is its biggest problem.

The correct information is +/-5 seconds a month or +/-60 seconds a year which is still fantastic. Bulova stopped claiming it is +/-10 seconds a year after it was proved to be wrong. Someone from watchuseek forum emailed Bulova asking for the EXACT details of the precisionist movements, and Bulova replied stating that they are +/-5 seconds a month. That is why it is not advertised by Bulova anymore or mentioned in the specs of their high precisionist watches.

It isn't a big Flaw !!!! It's an enormous Flaw !!! The CR2016 is ridiculously thin and does not last very long !!!! But I've fitted a CR2025 without the Plate and the Microscopic Screw. !!!! Now I love this watch !!!!! I was so fed up with changing batteries that I was going to throw my Bulova Precissionist in the Dustbin !!!! But now it's running perfectly and the back holds the battery firmly in place !!!! I like the chunky watch,and with a double sized battery, it should run a lot longer now !!!

"Tacky-meter" is right...this thing is off the charts! 🤣 Just kidding, but really I'm just not that into chronos, and even more so, not into watches that rival Invicta in size. That dial gives me a little bit of anxiety, but not as much as a Seiko flighty does. Still, I appreciate the content, though. Keep 'em coming.

I have the Lunar Pilot with the exact movement you have. I am not getting 10 seconds per year. I am after two months, +4spd. Thats 24 seconds per year. And I do not see where there would be something wrong with the watch. Any other owners of this or precisionist want to chime in?

I’m really not sure. Don’t own the watch anymore to tell you.

I love the crystal vibrating at 8 times the usual frequency, but I fear that it’s too power-hungry to run off a photovoltaic cell. I’d love to see a Precisionist movement with radio sync to an atomic clock or to GPS satellites - and as Citizen owns Bulova that might be possible - but it’s rather overkill and I doubt it will ever happen.

You mean quartz? All automatic and mechanical watches have a smooth sweep hand. If you’re looking quartz, look at mecha-quartz watches. Seiko builds the movement… it’s a battery powered watch with a smooth sweep. Look up Galant watches on Amazon… they’re under 40.00 and some provide a smooth sweep quartz.

It’s held up very well. There are a few scratches but you have to get close to see them.

Not for the faint of hart of baby hands proud of my gorilla 8.5” hands but at the same time I wish I could wear a seiko or a dress watch

You’ll like the larger face when you get older and face blurs. I still enjoy my smaller face watches, that’s why I bought them.🧐

I have twp precisionists. Big but love them. did it myself for less than5 bucks.. Mine had press on back so got a press on case removal tool ( vise style with blades on aliex) so not to scratch it common 2016 battery, the battery hold down bracket is the biggest challange tweezers and a very good micro screwdriver set

That’s the beauty of it for me, I have the satin gold one without all the dials on the face, it has diamonds at each hour mark.

Review- 1. a formal assessment or examination of something with the possibility or intention of instituting change if necessary. 2. a critical appraisal of a book, play, movie, exhibition, etc., published in a newspaper or magazine. I’m confused? You tuned in to hear your opinion? If that’s what you want, simply start your own channel. People tune in to hear MY opinion. I don’t regurgitate anyone else’s opinion.

Ma786sai Dua Joe a tremendous review. 242 grams that’s a great heft. I just ordered it for usd 786 on Amazon usa.

Not the same thing... time radio controlled watches aren't internally accurate... they need external help to stay accurate... this watch doesn't.

Dude, dont wear your watch that far down your arm.
