Bulova A-15. Affordable, Military-inspired Pilot Watch

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This Military Vintage-inspired Pilot watch from Bulova is based on a 1944-1945 prototype they made for the US Army. Is this Automatic watch one of the best pilot watches under 400?
This watch can be found on my JomaShop/EricsEverydayWatches Top 15 Watches landing page. This is an affiliate link. If you use it you will not be charged anything extra. But I will get a small percentage of the sale.

Another solid review Eric. The A_15 is nearly flawless and I'm glad to see Bulova leaning hard into their back catalog. It's a storied brand. I'd like to have seen the caseback be screwdown, but the reality is there's really no reason for the average wearer to open the watch anyways. As an aside, your production continues to improve. We'll done!

Hi Davidnaples7070. Thanks for watching. I’ve recently been debating legacy brands vs micro brands and whether or not it matters. But when a company can pick up on its own back catalog which also has legit tie in to history that puts something like this over the top for me. I agree with you about the screw on caseback. Would have been more user friendly to have a screw down.

Wow…beautiful watch. I currently only own 1 Bulova, a nice dress watch (three hand dress watch w/date) that I picked up on sale. I would love to find a nice deal on a vintage Acutron. Thanks for the good vids…

Thanks John. It’s one of those watches which I think will stick around for a long time in someone’s collection. It’s a fun bit of history.

I love this watch. I wish they had a few different colors of the dials to choose from.

Hello deadcoin9031. Thanks for watching. I hadn’t thought about that. I wonder what other colors they would have done? Would be interesting to see. 👍

I also own Bulova's Lunar Pilot (ref. 96B258) and I love mine too. "From my cold, dead hands!!!" Although I like this Pilot watch, I think Bulova's most exciting watches now are the new retro-inspired "Jet Star" line (especially ref. 97B214 w/ gold tone case). You get a fantastic HAQ movement with a smooth-sweeping second hand in the Jet Stars. By the way, I've recently received a watch shown in your "top picks" early in this video: the Hamilton PSR from Jomashop w/ green display. It's everything I hoped it would be, and so comfortable to wear. I paid $565 (w/ $20 coupon applied) which seems to be just about the best price one can find on that watch. Anyway enough of my babble! I'll stay tuned of course. 👍

Hey Vonkruel. I’ve seen that Jet Star listed online but haven’t had a chance to see one in person yet. Those definitely caught my eye too. I’m a sucker for the vintage inspired look. Thanks for watching. 👍👍 and enjoy that PSR.
