BULLSH*T JOBS are RISING, What are They? | Hindi Video | An Open Letter

There are a lot of jobs in the world that add value, however, there are a few that don't. Renowned anthropologist David Grabaer called it Bullsh*t jobs. In this video, I have talked about it.

As per my opinion: lawyers kept by companies cannot be called bullshit because a company has many legal processes & they seem to never end. If they hire a lawyer individually, they will have to pay extra but if you employ a lawyer in salary basis, that is more economic. Plus the core members of company can focus on company operations as all legal processes are handled by lawyers. That duct taper job can actually add value if you have insufficient funds to fix that flaw permanently. ISS ke leak ko temporarily patch karne k liye vi duct tape hi use huwa tha.. 😂 (context samjho isbat ka) Sometimes a manager is needed even to manage a team of experts. Warna sare log ye samjhenge ki me samne wale se better hu or isike chalte team efficient nahi ho pati. Ajkal ke jamane me vi agar kisi company me ye jobs he to there might be a strong reason. Ajkal companies sirf 1-2 sal kliye plans nahi banate, 10-15 sal aage ki sochte he.

Good video, but I dont think managerial jobs in IT companies are bullshit jobs. I am a developer and understand the importance of having a manager. Without a manager its very tough to manage a team of developers. Because then you have to write code and also manage them. Plus managers also manager other stuff like talking to the client, run a team as a scrum master etc. If developers needs to do all this stuff, then they need to constantly switch context to focus on other things. Which is not efficient at all. So specialist guys are required for different tasks, thats the only way to be efficient.

Hey Open Letter, I would like to refute regarding your statement on corporate lawyers, the work of a corporate lawyer is not only limited to IPR, it includes pre litigation work, contract managemnt, contract drafting, negotiation as well as compliance, not to forget they act as a facilitator between various stakeholders of a company espcly when you are working in the inhouse team and for those corporate lawyers who work in the law firms, their work is way beyond "value adding" since they manage M and A, commercial and general advisory and many other things depending upon the boutique firm they are working in

Lifeguards in olympic or any other sports pools are actually very important. I dont know if you have ever swam for sports, not for recreation, but long hours of practice makes the muscles very tired and its very easy to get cramps while swimmimg and i can tell its not a pleasurable experience at all. Even professional swimmers can drown due to getting cramps while swimming. So lofeguards are there for a reason.

Great video...if someone wants to find an industry that doesn't have bullshit jobs ...then the shipping industry can be looked into(the actual seafaring part of it)...consists generally of 15 to 25 crew....and all are loaded with jobs....even if 1 of them are removed ....it creates a huge burden on others...and ultimately might lead to stoppage of ships....we all know what happens when ships stop....loss of trade and economic crisis.... . . Anyway great video....nice perspective...

India me sabse badi bullshit job provider hai government jobs. 40% ese jobs/employees hai jeki organization ko jarurat nahi aur 50 % jobs o er extra employees means jarurat 5 employee ki hai but hire kar 25 logo ko hai ..akir govt ko bhi unemployment kaam karni hai.
