    Bullmastiffs view making friends with humans they have never met as a top priority. We found our dogs especially wanted to make friends with people who were unsure or nervous around them. They have a really finely tuned instinct for telling if someone has bad intentions to them or their family and unless they sense something “off”, they view their job as making friends and getting and giving love. They do not act as intelligent as German shepherds but our take is that they are super smart dogs who just do not care much about showing their intelligence in obvious ways.
