Bulletproof Coffee

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I drink coffee black. Have been for the past 4 or 5 years. But a few years back a friend told me about 'Bulletproof' coffee and the idea of blending coffee with grass-fed butter. I remember calling him crazy and laughing in his face. It wasn't very nice of me. I'm sorry, friend.
Then one day I tried it and ate my own words. It was delicious, rich, silky, creamy, and tasty. I also monitored the way I felt and recall having one of the most even-keeled boosts of energy I've ever experienced from coffee. No crash, no insane jitters, no cravings for more.
The first time I tried it, I only added about 1tbsp of grass-fed butter. As time went on I incorporated collagen powder and some form of MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides derived from highly concentrated coconut oil). Collagen is neutral in flavour, adds a bit more creaminess to the coffee and is great for your skin, bones, muscles, and gut (among other things). MCT oil can help your body enter a state of ketosis and start using fat as energy. It is also said to help with mental clarity.
I now use all three in my coffee and have been for a while. I encourage you to try it out for yourself and see if you like it.
Note: I do not recommend trying this with instant coffee or any of the pod/capsule coffees (Nespresso, Keurig, etc.). The flavour is just off. Instead try brewing your favourite beans in a French Press, drip machine, chemex or pour-over, or aeropress. The entire process can take a bit long from start to finish (depending on which method you choose you're looking at anywhere between 10-15 minutes, maybe more, before you drunk your first cup). But it's worth the effort. I tend to make this on weekends and days when I'm not rushing out the door early in the AM.
Ingredients and Measurements:
1 mug (approx. 350ml) brewed coffee of choice
1.5 tshp ghee (or grass-fed butter if not Whole30)
1 tbsp MCT oil (I like this one: amzn.to/2DTVFus)
1 scoop Collagen (again, I like Bulletproof)
Method:
Put everything into a blender and blend on high for 45 seconds.

Is it sweet or bitter? The only reason I haven’t tried it is because I don’t want to waste good coffee lol

I honestly thought you were gonna shoot it to test if it's bulletproof, I feel cheated, but good video nonetheless
