Bullet Muffler/Glasspack Vs. Dynomax Ultra Flo Sound Comparison

In this video, I installed a Dynomax Ultra Flo Muffler on my 1.8T 2004 Volkswagen Golf GTI replacing the Bullet Muffler/Glasspack that was previously on it.

Ok, talk to me here. How close to stock quite is it getting? I need my car (B6 A4 Avant 1.8t) to be reasonable sounding for my sanity, but I don't want complete sad stock exhaust. I got the car with a 3 in turbo back and same bullet style junk.... stupid loud. Would you say this is "closer to stock" but obviously still makes some noise? Also, it seems quite at idle, but decent at full song, can you confirm that? Thx

I had this exact same setup on a mk5 gti (2.0t) and ended up installing a 16” resonator in mid pipe to keep the drone down at highway speed. The gti is a much shorter car than a B6 so Id recommend you look into a slightly longer resonator to bring the decibels down but still have a sporty sound when accelerating. Resonator is a much cheaper option and easier to install in a straight section.

What resonator did you add? I had a vibrant UQ on my mk5 rabbit. It did pretty good, just curious what worked for you.

The car has 2 other small glasspacks in it (no cats). They just act as resonators. It sounds a lot better with the new muffler imho. It doesnt drone like crazy and long trips arn't a problem

This system isn't super loud but still has good tone driving it. It's way less obnoxious then before and it makes driving the car a lot better. Thwy have some kits that sound better but I got the car with the exhaust on it and just wanted to change it up a bit
