Dude, yes! Funeral for a friend never got the recognition they deserve, I guess because they were more core/emo than metal, but I love it. And they only got better as the records went on

I agree. I wasn’t really into this type of music anyone who showed me anything heavy it was like dying fetus and stuff like that. When I first heard Ascendancy and the poison it was like metal that made sense. The riffs were so catchy and the vocals were so crisp and clear. Definitely kicked off my journey into that style of music

As someone who got to meet Matt Heafy, I gotta say it’s still absolutely wild how tall he is. 🤯

@@onedeuAccording to google, Heafy is 6'2 and Tuck is 6'1. However, Heafy's posture is crazy good. He is already taller than average, but he appears waaay taller because of his posture. Tuck is sitting leaning foward a bit, so he appears shorter.

Bullet for my valentine got me into metalcore, i discovered trivium shortly after and they became my favourite band of all time. Got my tickets, cannot wait for this gig!!! 🤘🤘

I’m 23, my mother (passed away) used to play trivium when I was a kid, 24/7. And bfmv I discovered when I was 6 or so, on need for speed most wanted, hand of blood. Since then, I can never look away, I love a lot of bands, I love a lot of different styles of music going back to rap in the 70’s to current, bands in the 60’s for example. I can listen to both of these bands 24/7. What would really make the whole thing perfect, and my dream come true would be if rise against got to play also, but these guys are absolute gems.

We need a A7X, BFMV,Trivium, & Atreyu tour...The $ would be pouring in.

Time flies man..both bands are huge influence for a ton of people(me included of course😄), that's for sure..

Man this one really hits for me. Bullet for My Valentine was the band that got me into metal in 2008 and this was my first metal album. I was completely obsessed with them and listened to this album as often as possible and was obsessed and couldn’t wait to get a guitar and learn. I don’t know where I would rate the Poison amongst my favorite metal albums these days, but this album was monumental for me and so influential and looking back on it, I can see how much it influenced my taste in music even 16 years later. I still love this album so much and I really hope they take this tour to the states because I would pay anything to see this album performed in full. I’ve known about Trivium since about 2009 but they never really clicked for me until five years ago. I was going through a hard time and Ascendency became my comfort album. I consider it one of my favorite metal albums for sure. Since then Trivium has become a favorite band of mine. Again, another album I would love so much to see live! Please come to the US, guys 🥲 13 year old me is begging you and so is 28 year old me

Yeah man, I saw them at a exclusive gig in Maida Vale when they were promoting Ascendancy, only 20ish people there had go win tickets from the radio, played a short 6 song set then meet and greet and free beers all night, one of the best experiences seeing a band, back in my teens then, now nearly 40 😂

Bullet for my Valentine - The Poison helped me get into Metal / Core stuff back in my early high school days. Helped out a lot to get through high school as well.

Just wanna say as someone who was only 5 years old when these albums came out and only discovered them when I was a teenager These albums still got me into metal over 10 years after they came out My first metal gig was BMFV performing the poison in full and I've never looked back Can't wait for this tour

Both albums are a milestone in melodic metal. I remember when I saw Bullet For My Valentine on Sweden’s biggest festival at that time. I remember that like it was yesterday. But it was 18 years ago. Wtf happend 😅 It’s amazing that Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine are still relevant and releases great albums.

This tour is going to be so important in many ways especially an inspiration for the next trivium album being ascendancy like.

Hopefully they’re waiting on the US tour because they’re waiting for an A7X confirmation. Those were my big three of modern (at the time) metal during my high school years

Ascendancy came out right before my freshman year of high school. Shogun came out my senior year. Trivium is literally my high-school years. Me and my first friend in florida, bonded over Trivium in 2005. He just took his own life 4 weeks ago. We'd always make sure the other was gonna be at the upcoming Trivium concerts. Wish he had known about this tour. 😢

Dude, I love their bit about the writing process from those two albums. To quote another of my favorite musicians, the best albums are “selfishly made”. No pursuing of a certain sound or style to please the masses. Just an honest interpretation of the band’s musical expression at that point in time and to me, that’s what music is. It’s an audible expression of the internal being. These two albums were heavily influential to me in my teens and I still love them both! So hyped for this announcement and I hope I can make it out to one of these shows!

I haven't heard either band's music in a while especially their latest material (with the exception of seeing Trivium open for iron maiden last year) but those two albums are legendary and had them both in my CD collection in 8th grade 😮 I have to see this show!! My dad would even like to see this, I constantly had The Poison and Ascendancy as well as Shadows Are Security by As I Lay Dying playing in his truck for all of 2005 to 2006!?

First off matt heafy is a fucking legend...second I've never really been a fan of bfmv, but I have to say just out of respect of the fact they are hanging out with trivium I will probably go back and listen to more... but I've noticed since I've been seeing them collaborate that bfmv songs are starting to get better!!! I wish I could go to this concert... but I'm glad to see heafy and trivium collaborate with another band and what it means for future music to come.... thanks guys....I can't wait....

whats wild is i never listened or cared for bullet outside of the few songs they had on Rock Band and Trivium is my favorite. My brother, the complete opposite, never cared for trivium but bullet is his favorite band. since this tour was announced we've both borrowed each others collections of albums
