Keep it, preserve it. As a composer, of course I’d love to see it made into a concert hall, but the proposal to preserve it’s history is much more interesting and actually serves as a perfect venue for all of the arts.

Thank you for the great video. As a Bulgarian I enjoy seeing someone like you to discuss such monument, which if it was preserved , would have been a great tourist attraction, bringing people from all around the world. It would have helped the local economy. It is not too late, it can and it will be restored.

It's not going to be fully restored, just preserved kind of like the Acropolis as far as I understand, & it already was drawing in increasing amounts of tourists since about 2012

Im half Bulgarian and i believe that we need to preserve it as a museum even tho i hate communists there's no reason to let it get destroyed it could make a great place to visit and boost the local economy

Yes in the end it's something left from a by gone era and should be left for the people of the future to be able to see it, because once it's destroyed, it's gone forever. Just as a lot of ancient wonders and pieces of art have been destroyed during the ages because of political or religious differences at the time that we would've loved to have them preserved and see today. Plus people in the future will see such things through very different perspective than we have today.

I love visting soviet monuments, it's such a shame when other country's destroy them, it's part of the country's history and bad for tourism when there's nouthing left for people to see. I really want to see this one.

From a architectural standpoint it’s beautiful and it should be restored I love the mosaics but it is up to the people of Bulgaria with what they would like to do with it let’s hope they don’t let this fade away.

We don't, but the government is unlikely to keep it. I mean, it's currently trying to destroy every monument, built during the Soviet time.

When capitalism took over Bulgaria, a huge part of the country fell in disrepair. This was the opposite of what people expected.

The disrepair was not because capitalism took over Bulgaria. The disrepair started way before that, you know during the three hidden bankruptcies during the communist regime. That same regime, which tried to turn the garden of Europe into heavy industry economy paired with an unrealistically big military and ineffective production.
