I have been hopping around a ton of your videos searching for a unit I like. I went to your website and have a recommendation. Keep your top review on your product reviews page as a "Current recommendations" and have links to your current camera-less unit, best unit that doesnt need speaker quality, etc... I have a youtuber I follow who does this with robot vaccum reviews and it helps so much!

I ordered this yesterday and was looking for some reviews on it. I had watched reviews on the Eonon P3 and I was told the P4 was better, hence why I went for the P4. Thanks for the review

@@rickyaslan2794 It's perfect. The screen resolution was what I was worried about at first but once I got it, it's the thing i now love the most. Everything else work perfectly. Also, if they ship via DHL like they did for me, expect to pay some ridiculous amount for customs' tax and duty

@@rickyaslan2794 Reverse camera works great... very good picture quality but it doesn't have infrared, so it can't see well at night but your reverse light should help, but not a lot.

Bought a carpuride 903w. Love the way they sold it. It was very easy to track, they kept in touch, they are happy to help as much as possible. They made a loyal customer for life

Thanks for the review, one question, In your opinion, this P4 carplay is better than LAMTO 9"26 or 11 inch w/ DashCam?

Appreciate your reviews and bought one of these. Love it so far, except cannot get my iPhone 13 Pro, with updated current firmware, to connect via Airplay for screen mirroring. Connects to device in WiFi yet not when selecting it to screen mirror from control panel. Tried airplane mode on/off before and during, BT off/on and resetting connections. Any issues you have seen with this and tips to fix? Thank you again!

I ordered the P4 after watching this video and it arrived today. Couple of questions: how do you access the dvr content, is it only via removing the SD or is there an app to download to phone? Same with firmware, do you know how updates are installed? Finally, looks like they’ve now got a 2024 model with a silver / chrome trim. Any hardware differences that you’re aware of?

Can any of these units pair with more than one iOS device? I haven't been able to find any information on this. The LAMTTO unit I bought on Amazon seems limited to only one device.

BTW . do you know one thing about the Bluetooth? I want to use the device for maps music and so on but I don't want to use it for phone calls, My car's system deals with it adequately. Is there any way to disable phone calls on that system? thx

Got mine yesterday for use with Android Auto. The display is nice, but when in Android Auto, the screen image is stretched horizontally just enough for it to be annoying. Also, while I was able to update the boot logo just fine, removing and inserting the sd card is a pain - mine wouldn't eject fully and I had to grab it with a tiny pair of tweezers - then I had a hard time getting back in (ta-da-BOOM). Feels very cheaply made. Also, in spilt screen mode, Google Maps doesn't work -- it's completely unresponsive. No idea if there's a firmware update that addresses any of these things, but there's nothing about firmware updates on their website.

These portable android auto(AA) units when connected to the car stereo by bluetooth; phonecalls use which mic ? Portable AA unit mic ? car stereo mic ? Phone mic ? Does it give an option to use the car stereo mic instead of portable AA unit mic ?

They need to usenits own built in or external mic. They can not use any other mic.

Is it dual Bluetooth?

I have one question. Can I connect my Android phone with a cable instead of bluetooth?

What would you choose between this and the 9.26” Lamtto? Both look much better than the 10.36” units from what I can see online.

I’ve dealt with Eonons customer service, so I’d pick the Eonon unit since they seem pretty solid.

@@AutoMotivate Thanks. In UK I can get the Lamtto potentially for £69 or the Eonon for £140. Is it worth double? It has the rear camera included whereas the Lamtto doesn’t. Eonon has auto brightness which I don’t think the Lamtto does?

My next video I am reviewing Carpurides version of this head unit (I just need to edit it). Then, when I get home from visiting family early Jan, I’ll be comparing all the DVR style head units against each other. I already have a video comparing 5 different units a few videos ago, but I just received these two DVR style units, which I think deserves a dedicated video.

I can't find any video comparing W903 vs Lamtto 9.26 😕 one feature I saw on the Lamtto is that the split screen can be both front and rear camera, does the W903 do that??

Same situation here. Both of them ordered, comming home and still don't know which one I'll keep. I guess it will be the Eonon unit due to the 4k front dashcam but the more reviews I see the more lost I get.

I hate the sound too. I always turn off the boot and button sounds. Probably a silly question, but did you look through the settings? I haven’t had an issue turning off the sounds.

@@AutoMotivate You said keeping cars on the road for longer. In the EU the green with reds fight with older cars as much as they can. I lost mine because of their crazy policies. So I bet keeping a car for longer, it's not something they want to hear.

(A Head-unit is a STEREO with a pre and power amplifier that is designed for playback of music via direct connections/aux/bluetooth etc. Some have CD, radio, video and rear camera capability. But main thing is that a head unit is an audio AMPLIFIER as its main function, and ALWAYS connects to the speakers of the car directly)

@@shrimpu i mean, everyone understands its a head unit. Manufacturers call it a head unit, portable apple carplay headunit. Look it up its on most of manufacturers product description 🤷🏻‍♂️ I dont think that should be of any importance anyway what its called technically so long as he doesnt call it a radio.
