BuildingNY: Eric Ripert, chef, Le-Bernardin

Eric Ripert, author of 4 books, executive chef and co-owner of Le Bernardin, New York's celebrated restaurant - describes how at a young age, he learned to cook in his grandmother's kitchen in France. Mr. Ripert worked with great chefs in France. He came to New York, and in 1996, become part owner of his flagship restaurant, Le Bernardin. A strong supporter of City Harvest, Eric says they do a "fantastic job" of bringing fresh ingredients and education about food - particularly fresh food - to the communities they serve.     watching this helped me to admire even more one of the worlds great chefs. His way of cooking truly is fantastic.

    Guess u haven't read bourdains last texs...I suggest u do.anthony was a lonely man who reached out constantly. He tried to hard, but couldn't overcome his feelings of " less than"..he carried this burden from a young age. Read his book between the lines. He was a man that needed someone to please. He came off on his TV shows as so confident ...I understand..and years of therapy doesn't seem to fill the lonlieness.
