Hi, thank you for the demonstration. There are several connection types of truss. Do you know pros and cons of plate truss vs spigot truss? Can you please share your thoughts about those?

Do you have any tips on polishing tarnished truss that don't envolve loads of elbow grease?

How much weight can the lighter trussing take? Is everything else the same in terms of connections, etc? The 12" truss looks very bulky to bring to gigs! Thanks.

Are these the same as duratruss in europe or is it just another name?

Does this work the same way if you have to lay truss down on the floor instead of vertical ?

Concert stages are made out of this stuff! So, weight isn't an issue. There are compact solutions I've done videos on. Have a look

yeah it happens which is why you always should do a test run before showtime. if something rattles, you can reposition it or stick a piece of electrical tape on it

When I worked as a stagehand as we learned that it gave couplings on one side, because it takes less time to build up then.

There are a couple of things that put me off buying this design of truss one is the pins that secure them stick out so are a snag hazard if someone walks past them with loose clothing especially if it's knitted and also having to use a Hammer to bang pins in isn't going to be popular with hotels and their guests that are trying to sleep when it comes to packing away late at night. I know if I was a guest at a hotel that I had paid good money for and I was trying to sleep, getting woken up by a DJ banging with a hammer on metal would really annoy me to the point I'd probably complain to the Hotel and demand a refund or discount. Hotels don't want that kind of hassle as it loses them business so they won't be keen on asking that DJ back will they.

Unless you know what you are doing structurally, I'd always recommend just going with pre built staging.

If your using a steel hammer be incredibly carefull, the industry standard is a copper mallet because the mallet is weaker than the aluminium so as not to dent it, a tiny ding in your truss can completely ruin it, so be carefull with a steel hammer!!!

I like to make a mark on the larger hole side of the couplers. So when helpers / stage hands assist me they dont bang the crap out of a pin into the wrong side. ( after this happened many times to me, after explaining it each time )
