Building Tile Shower Pan With Drain Close to Wall --- FloFX Drain and Heated Floor

Ойын-сауық

Most of the shower pans we float have the drain in the center of the floor. Sometimes you might need to put the drain at one end of the floor due to existing plumbing locations or type of tile. We like to use the FloFX bonding flange drain and grates. It is better than the Schluter Kerdi Bonding Flange.
If there is no heated floor going in the shower, the adjustment is simple: just screed right off the top of the bonding flange.

    He is saying that the top of the heat cable mat/de-coupling mat needs to fall in plane with the top of the Flo Fx. This is so that the water proofing membrane can bond smoothly over both the de-coupling mat and the bonding surface of the Flo Fx. You don't want water to be able to run up under the de-coupling membrane.

    maybe flofx can come up with a topper. like after your done floating to the top of drain theres another topper part of the drain that snaps in or is glued to the bottom drain to make up the difference of the ditra...i call it FlowDx

    Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. It might be wiser for a novice to start with copy trading investing, but it is not easy. To invest in growth stocks it is another level, definitely you need to know what are you doing.

    From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $255k in raw profits from just 6 months into the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

    She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial advisor as her diversification skills are top notch, because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

    what kinda thinset do u use when flat trowling around the drain flange, unmoidified or modified? or would lht laticrete bond well with those flanges and be ok for for install? really enjoyed this pour with the drain flange u have been using...its been a game changer for interchangable waterproofing methods. 😉

    Modified for all stages. Unmodified is an OLD manufacturer spec. LHT (large heavy tile) thinset will work to bond the concrete and dry pack. Even though that's not what it's intended for.

  • @RawTakes

    @RawTakes

    10 ай бұрын

    @@larrys5733 yeah, but if it requires ansi 118.1 it's due to the polymers not drying in ansi 118.4 which is a modified thinset. All of that crap from schluter that confused everyone and forced people to buy their over priced thinset. Perhaps I should go back and read the box 😆..i think my question was slightly rhetorical, considering he most likely is going to use a modified. Just curious which product he went with for the drain.

  • @larrys5733

    @larrys5733

    @RawTakes that's very old news. Really. Schluter ALL-Set IS Polymer modified mortar. Ansi118.15. Recommended for use in all stages. Find any mortar that is .15 or better and you're ok. The LHT is 118.4, so I would not use it to bond directly to plywood. But as a bonder for dry pack over concrete, sure. If that's all I had

    @@larrys5733 it's weird how they say use unmodified while installing over the kerdi but their allset is modified lol. Just sounds gimmicky, like a carsales men tactic to get u to overpay. Not a huge fan of schluter. Appreciate the insight from another installer, I have never directly installed over plywood and will never. Unless they don't want a warranty and want to pay me in cash lol. The lht seems to be just fine with my installation process.
