Im so excited for this build John. I daily a ext cab 01 Silverado. I really like my truck and its in good shape and taken care of. I really want to boost my truck turbo or supercharger. I just want like a 500-550 hp daily driver. I live close to work so it dosent get drove very far. Subscribed !

Ive got a white truck just like the 1 you started with. Its a 4X4 too. You sure do know u're trucks cars and 4 wheelers. Cool, just a cool build.

Ive got a similar setup in a ranger,iron block 5.3,706 cast heads,studs,oil pump,lifters.made just over 1000 with an old 76mm turbo. Ive had alot of headgasket issues,seems to lift a head whenever i put over 17 pounds to her..Ive been thinking about dry decking my block..If i could do it over again i might have built an LT from what i understand the bolt pattern on the heads is much better for holding the heads down,among acouple other advantages.Look forward to seeing more content with your truck. Ive been seeing it in the back ground for a long while and always wondered what the story with it was. Good luck.we go down to Cecil County Maryland alot for test and tunes and other races. Options are limited living in Philadelphia. Atco NJ is closed for good now fukn sucks.

I ran 21 pounds on a stock 5.3 for years with just mls gaskets and studs. Ths 5.3 is an amazing design imo. What kind of timing are you running? Fuel? Compression? Detonation is the number one cause of lifting a hg 🤙

awesome build hello yea! but I think you're going to need a bit more than 1500rwhp to hang with some of the turbo coyote f150's

@@StupidFastJohn there are a few I know of that are probably capable of that but they mostly do no prep on the street. I also know of a build that should be over 2k+ to wheels in progress but I don’t believe he’s going to stay leaf spring. There was a big twin turbo srt10 ram years ago that was in the 7’s but I don’t remember his suspension setup. Sorry if I sounded like I was taking a jab at your build! Your build is awesome, I love fast trucks! You going to o-ring the block/heads? I didn’t hear you say it in the video, I feel like at 1500rwhp you’re getting close to where I’d want my engine o-ringed. (Admittedly I have been out of the ls stuff for a few years though so I don’t know if “regular head gaskets” have made improvements)

@@jemery3 no worries man im honestly looking for any information i can find, ill chase and do whatever i have to! Google search athena sce hg's they have a stainless steel ring around a 1/4 inch in diameter, they are rated at 2000hp and the custom age 7/16s 625 headstuds about same. Its the rotating assembly that wont go much past 1500 but i want to get it setup and laying down some actual times before i start upgrading that stuff and see what the actual goal is recorded first 🤙

Hell yeah brother nice to see what happened with this thing. Dude it was jumping time violently you can see it almost disappear crazy. Glad you got it figured out dude can't wait to see the monster that it's going to be.

I got a 1980 long bed built 400,brodix heads, 11/1 compression, edelbrock pro intake, 750 demon carb, lunati cam, built turbo400 trans,with high pressure shift kit!! I drift the truck. Im thinking about doing a Texas speed dumpster fire cam next. It an easy street truck. I'm also running period correct magnesium 1980 turbine rims, sick!! truck is dropped 8 inches fully static!! Gonna do Baggs this summer !! Long live the full size truck gang my boi!!!
