Building the ULTIMATE factory muscle truck in 28 minutes
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Exactly one year ago we started to build the "COPO Truck" which is what I envisioned would be the perfect factory factory sport truck if GM had the COPO program active where you could pick and choose any drivetrain parts you wanted to build your own custom truck. My 2000 Silverado uses the AWD system from a Yukon Denali, wheels from a 2015 Silverado, the transmission from a 2500HD, the LSA Supercharger from a ZL1 Camaro, the flex-fuel system from a 2002 Tahoe, Electric Fans from a 2009 Silverado, and a whole lot of custom work by myself to make it all work together. All told, the LSA 4.8 makes 530 horsepower at the wheels, 550 lb.ft. of torque, and is a total blast to drive.
What's next for the COPO truck? Well, there are a lot of options, but we'll improve the cooling of the transmission and the supercharger, spin the blower a bit faster, and make a lot more horsepower!

It just amazing of what LT is capable of inside a home garage without requiring a huge amount of specialty equipment and tools. Thanks for bringing us along and the great videos..

True statement. You know LT, I know you understandably want a shop, where you can take your build to the next level with lifts, specialized tools, etc. however maybe part of your channels ‘brand’ is showing us the quality, craftsmanship, and polished product that’s capable in a garage with parts store parts and tools? I at least appreciate what this channel is, and enjoy your projects……. Though I’m pretty disappointed you let go of the DINAN E39 (I’m probably on my own there) 😂

It's really the best part of the videos, proving anyone can do it themselves with a little research and time.

THIS IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!! I'm mechanically inclined to a point, two things I won't touch, an automatic transmission and a rear. I'll change either. My man changed rear gears with the rear in the truck. What can I say my boy is NICE!!!!!!
This might sound dumb, but your videos bring back memories. I’m watching these videos with my 2 year old son and seeing him get excited over the sights sounds and sights makes me so happy. It feels like me and my dad watching overhaulin on a cold morning in the winter getting excited about what vehicle is being worked on. Thanks for the content and keep doing what your doing. So excited to see what’s in store for the fleet!
i had an 04' Silverado SS...for 13 years!!! besides brakes, bearings, and a water pump...that truck was impossibly reliable. i did service it by the book...and after 150k miles i did replace the leaf springs and front shocks to improve the road feel. anyone who knows 99-06 chevy trucks knows how bulletproof these things are.the SS's lq9 high compression 6.0, heavy duty transmission are a great combination...but that AWD system is what makes that truck " exotic " for lack of a better term. a ton of power in a heavy truck really needs to transfer power evenly as possible for a great launch.with the 4.10 gears and wide tires...that truck wouldn't even chirp the tires...i would just see the hood lift up in front of me as the truck grabbed the asphalt and just took off.it would confuse all those who pulled up next to me at a light for a race.i wouldn't always win...but i would always laugh at how close i was was when i lost. the set up here is awesome. unfortunately my truck got totaled after keeping after her for so long.they have me 15k for her...she was a gift that kept on giving my 17' Silverado midnight edition has no soul in comparison .its like my first wife died and i remarried.that chassis was excellent too...the "z60". I'd love to see this truck with an lsx 454( with carburetor) in all black...with the 90s SS quarter panel " 454 SS" decals...that would be my dream build.
Your high speed editing to show your work is fantastic. Other people on KZread should take notice.
That was actually a nice truck to start with
LT it’s been a very cool journey for this build thanks for taking us along
My favorite body style. Though I can’t afford to do what you have done, I enjoy watching what you’ve done here. Keep making videos. Thanks

Love your vids LT! Been a fan since the start of the 8.1 truck. Your video on the information display from the Denali is probably my favorite. So helpful when I swapped an Escalade console into my 1500HD!
Takuaches everywhere shedding a tear watching this
The time you have invested in this truck has been awesome! Using the 4.8l has been neat to watch!
I had a 2006 Silverado with 4.8 and the 4l60e. With a 6" lift with 35" mud tires. Anyway that transmission held up to everything I did to it.

They have been easily built to handle over 1000 HP. Since there is no tcm for the LS for the 8L90 or 10L90(sad) I'm thinking of a 6L90 built which removes the 1st OD gear and keeps the 2nd.
You’ve inspired me to actually pull the trigger and order some parts I’ve wanted for my truck for a long time. Thanks!
Wow this is an amazing display of how much fun can be had! Awesome and lots of talent involved!!!
This was the truck I wanted you to build. I love the wrap and the whole look. Great job!!!!
Wow, what a video, usually I don’t like music in videos but the way you put everything together kept my attention, what an awesome build, definitely cool to see it whoop so many coupes- I need to learn how to weld already
Great video as always, LT!! Keep up the outstanding work!!!
Legit, that was a hell of a burnout about half way through this video. Goddamn.
I like this overview / project rundown format
“Local drag strip” lol anyway I love this pickup
Man this video is so awesome. In my opinion you have great video editing and quality work ethic.
Great build with a great story. LT find me a lost truck and make it fun again. You are the man.
i was just out in SLC 2 weeks ago I wish I could have had an opportunity to see that truck. What a great build. Makes me want an LSA blower on my denali
My favorite of your builds!
Great build and a great result.
Good on you Thanks for the review!!!
Great video! I totally dig this truck!
Always great content and presentation
An Awesome video LT, Well Done.
I've loved this build!!! I honestly love it the way it is but I also can't wait to see what's in store for it in the future!!!👍👍👍

Sick work shop! I love this truck I want to get rid of my '18 and get one.
this is an awesome video! i have a 2004 5.3 rcsb stepside silverado and want to refresh all the suspension upgrade the wheels and tires and get her up to date. good to see its possible
Dude...that's just like a fullsize Cyclone well without the turbo V-6. Very cool, rock on.
Would love to see you do a 4.3L (LV3) turbo build, like a new school GMC Syclone.
Great video great mods great truck the orange is cool but man that black is slick

For certain hp builds I like the 60's... 2 reasons really. Less parasitic loss and weight. I have found by keeping the 60's cool (around 140-150 on a 100 degree day in TN) they live a long life... heat just kills them. Great content and I love your truck LT!
That truck nothing short of amazing 👏

I've enjoyed watching this build... I learned alot. I'm excited to see where u go from here. I know my opinion doesn't really matter, but I'd love to see u start with a 6.2 from a camaro. Maybe finish it off with camaro wheels and seats... kinda like the 67 c10 Foose built... wasn't crazy like this, but was a mix of a c10 and a camaro... I think that would be a fun direction.
That’s awesome, great truck

This inspired my Sierra build right now. Currently its a 4/6 dropped 4.3 rcsb 4x4 06 Sierra. Have a 5.3 that im currently building for it, have an AWD transfer case ready
Even though it's Tenn. Orange it's still badass 🐘🌊
😲Oh man, I like that exhaust, I'm thinking of something like that fur my lifted Chevy. It Perdy !😉
All the takuaches drooling rn
If this had a t56 it would be my dream truck.
Kudos for doing it on a 4.8l. Easier route and longer term a bigger displacement engine been an easier route, but shows can do big things with what got .

LT, absolutely wonderful video of the start to finish off the copo truck!! Now i have plethora of your Playlist of i need some work done! But i may need some torque specs for the transfer case, do you happen to have a list as i was not able to find specs to assemble the t case without the torque specs! If you can provide some, that would be awesome! I enjoyed watching this vid! I'm really early subscriber from your Tennessee days as early maybe 4k subs. Been interested ever since! Your loyal fan, Josh.
94 s10 ss 6l 4l60e transmission built by Vickers triple disc billet 3200 stall still NA upgrading fuel system to handle E85. Need to figure out how much injector next. Static compression 10 to 1 cam according to numbers and how I installed it is just over 12 to 1. But can't wait to see more it's been a blast so far
I have past your house before didn’t know you where on you tube I liked your tacoma

That's how I like to get on the interstate, faster than traffic is going
Kinda how I figured it would go. Converter helped offset the launch and then the longer gear let the 4.8 stretch its legs. Did sound like it may have bumped the limiter on the 2-3 but could have been my ears. Glad it is good to go.. now time to flog it at the track

You’re right, it did hit the limiter for a second I need to still play with the shift points to really dial it in… that’s a 7,100 rpm limiter BTW
