    You went to so much trouble to model the USS KIDD in her 1945 late war configuration. Yet you made her name not only over sized, but in white letters. Warship names are not that big. And we're never painted in white. Especially in wartime. They did not want enemy planes, or ship's knowing what ship they were seeing. And that would had been like a lighthouse beacon. Ship's name were welded to the stern and painted black which they remain today.... USS KIDD was restored to her late war configuration by the museum when they acquired her. She had been refitted and modernized in the 50s like many of her sister ships. But the museum wanted her to look like she did towards the end of WWII. They even fashioned the WWII style radar atop her mast from scratch.
