Other KZread channel has a video on how to add an accessory and wire into a car. Dave's like "Hold my beer" and builds a complete wiring harness for the car instead. 🤣 Amazing work man.

I always wanted to see the Durango headlights on the charger and this is so fire

The best way to remove fabric tape is to use a fabric seam ripper.

You need ALFA OBD!!! You can change so many computer settings like your hid settings. You can even program red keys.

It's not like he's been working only on the charger wagon. He's worked on multiple projects at one time and has had to wait on backordered parts and also make custom parts. Doing that kind of work isn't something you can do in just a few weeks. Some car builds do take years and that's mostly because you have other projects going at the same time. So give Dave a break and just enjoy the content. Take your time because I know in the end you will have built an amazing car.

SD, everything is looking great, brother. Get you a seem ripper to cut through the tape on those looms. They're made for sewing and fabric, but they'll work fantastic on the tape, too. It will cut the time down to seconds.

By the way, you are using your wire stripper backwards. It goes the other way to remove the insulation neatly.

I switched from halogen to HID. The wiring is a little different and not only that is the HID’s are 14V I believe. I got around that by adding a capacitor to the ballast power.

Maybe make some window plugs with plexiglass for the quarter glass. At least for now to keep water and weather out.

@@Junkyard_Dave Probably cause it doesn't have the green hue glass has, maybe there's a light green tint/film out there? Also if you can scan the other corner windows you can make a form and then heat the plexi in the oven to get a matching contour to the back glass. You can also make forms out of wood, or high temps filaments. Just use some Alcantara or billiards cloth to cover the surface of the form and she'll come out smooth. Usually heating instructions are based off thickness of the plexi, which are usually stated on the manufacturers website.

Those Durango headlights look amazing. It makes it unique for sure.

Guess they don't have what it takes to meet Daves standards and requirements!! I'm sure there is a company that can provide the service Dave requires! All I have to say is the list of modifications is going to be a novel at the car shows! And an hours long video for people to watch! Seeing every detail slowly being completed. The only thing I hate about this build is the wiring...because wiring is my Kryptonite! I'm glad there are people that are masters of wiring. Those are the ones I go to for my wiring issues!

optic armor for your side windiws, there not glass but it's stronger than glass. They probably can do it.

You should really order the new Latemidellighting Alpharex Nova Series headlights. They are one of a kind, they have the 4 individual led pods in the housings. Would make this thing look even more amazing

Regarding the quarter windows, this will be a long shot however this build is so good and has such a great following, this may just work. I’d try reaching out to Stellantis on social media, share information about your project and see if they might be able to help you with the rear door quarter glass. It seems like Stellantis has a lot of great, genuine car guys amongst their ranks and I’m sure they have the means to get the proper curvature to the glass and cut. While it may be a long shot, it’s worth a try, not to mention you spent a hell of a lot of money on mopar parts with this build.

The door glass is tempered and the laminated is 1/8" too thick

mb u could do this piece in back doors not from glass, but from plexiglass? as for temporary, for me it will be looking better then just blocked with carbonfiber.

Maybe do plexiglass, or black painted carbon fiber. I think it would look more like a tinted window than if you did it in blue carbon fiber.

Is the curvature of the quarter glass the same as the window glass? Couldn't you get a piece of door glass cut down that fits the quarter versus having to get a custom peice made?

Yes but the window glass is tempered too I was thinking about cutting a front glass which is laminated but its an 1/8" too think

Why don’t you just go to O’Reilly’s and get the correct lifts for the rear hatch. When you make the new hatch they can look up lifts that are the same length but have a lower pressure.
