That is absolutely adorable!!! I had my 11year old grand daughter stay over this weekend and I showed her your gnome door video. With a little tutoring, she was able to carve one in about 4 hours and still has all 9 fingers.

Yep. It's official. You can no longer call yourself a beginner woodcarver. This is literally the type of thing I imagine every time I see a hollow tree, or some gnarly roots while walking in the woods.

This build reminded me so much of seventy five years ago when I was 10, watching my grand father building stuff like this. You remind me so much of him. He was a refuge from Italy before WW2. He also was super creative like you. Luckily I inherited some if these skills from him and my father. I have a hollow piece of a cherry tree that came down during Hurricane Irma. Been wanting to do something with it. Now I know what. Thanks Dough.

Wow! You're amazing. That's one of the best gnome house I've seen. I have a stump from a tree I had cut down last year a old black jack and waiting for it to warm up to start to work on it. I hope I can do a fourth as good as you have done. If I were your wife I'd steal it and put on my front porch. it's because of you that gave me the courage to start craving. Been watching few years now👍👍

That is one of the best gnome houses I have ever seen. Now, and you're going to hate me for saying this..... but I kind of want to see you cut it in half, add some hinges so it opens and closes, put in a few floors, some stairs, a couple fireplaces and some furniture.. haha Yes yes, I know it won't happen, but it would be wonderful to see, none the less. Thanks so much for sharing. Always love seeing your creations, even though I don't always comment on them.
