I have this exact combo and it is by far one of my favorites to grab. It indeed is a great chatterbait rod but man oh man it’s so nice with the Duke lipless too! Will absolutely cast a country mile! Rod has that perfect moderate tip flex that lets you just zing em! I run 20lb braid to 15lb flouro leader.

My favorite chatter bait is the stealth blade jackhammer! Gotta try it out if you haven’t before!

I slso use the 7'2" heater for throwing 2 1/8 oz jigs with curl tail grubs for white bass fishing on my gome lake in the hot summer. Works great. Been watching your channel since you were at around 30K subs, congrats man

I have the team 6 Rod 7’3” and it’s perfect for jigs

I love my Shimano SLX70MGL I have it in the 7.2 with smackdown 15lb braid to 10lb fluoro leader on a David Fritts 7' MH moderate perfect crankbait rod. I just love how it felt in the hands and how far it will cast. It's crazy good for 90$ I also have the Googan gold bladed jig rod it's a 7'2 medium moderate I use a SLX70mgl as well but with 17lb sunline FC sniper fluoro

Justin get yourself a Insta360 Go 3, it’s a small action cam which you can mount it basically anywhere, there’s even a pendent style mounting option which allows you to film video from the chest view

Just got into fishing to take the kids while we went camping last weekend.. Got a cheap $25 walmart setup and my line was all twisted up after about 5 casts. Might need to take some of these tips and build something legit.

Between the jackhammer and the Evo I spend a fortune 😂.. Just wished the paint wouldn't come off the blades and heads. Mine are beat all to hell. I've been running the Juggle on mine for trailers.

Man I Need you to get cabelas/bass pro shops to start carrying your heater rods man. My Family always getting me cabelas gift cards as thats the closest fishing store to me. I have so many to use but im like nahh that heater has to be coming there at some point 😂.

Gotta ask. If you had to in a pinch, would you be comfortable throwing a regular jig on the Mod-Fast as well?

If you use braid to leader, it’s no problem in my experience

Or just a thinner wired hook on straight floro. Still not ideal since the regular jig is a straight connection, compared to a chatterbait’s blade AND snap which needs a slower rod to keep constant tension

Absolutely. I throw a finesse jig on the 7.2 MH Mod Fast and I’m going to throw the new Konda Finesse Swimjig on it as well. Tyler has dropped knowledge.
