I would add cross bracing from the main frame to the where you welded that transom hoop to so that way it has more rigidity to it. The bouncing over time could twist and weaken that rear cross beam. And add a diagonal support from outside corner of stair to the frame of trailer so if someone rams the bump stop it won’t bend the stairs forward. Other then that it came out awesome!

Read my mind. Transom needs more weld support. Great job on this build so far.

Agreed with above. I would also add a cap of tubing from the tube inside each stair you welded to the trailer. Think of a cross piece if it does not interfere with the center toon. This will drastically increase the stiffness of the stairs and stop the drooping evident in the video when you climbed them.

Don't forget a drain hole at the bottom of the upright stair support or it will fill up and rust
Bolting a brace between the steps at the top if there is clearance from the center toon will improve the stability of the steps. Adding a brace between the handrails will strengthen them as well. I am enjoying your videos. keep up the good work
I'm 44 years old and I wish I had a friend like you growing up.
Why rebuild something the simple way when you can go ultimate? Love this build.
You really got a lot accomplished this week, the LED's look dope!
Black is definitely the right colour
Great work dude!...love your content, respect from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
I might have put a few more lights on the sides of the trailer but you've got the trailer looking GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m not a pontoon guy but I’m enjoying this build
THIS MAN IS AN EXPERT!!
led lights on the bump stops and the stairs would be a cool addition
wow, vry nice.. Luckily I followed u frm the beginning. U hve potential.. continue to grow.. keep it up.. from malaysian fans 🇲🇾
The trailer looks awesome and totally worth the wait. I only have one suggestion. Would it be worth connecting the two upright supports on the stairs for some additional strength and rigidity? Just a thought. Trailer looks killer!

Totally agree with that! I mean it is simple physics! Still think the build is awesome!

I concur, and also suggest maybe putting lights on the stairs and bump stops as well. Right now you don't really have a good indicator for where the stairs/stops are in the dark and your tail lights from your truck make the black stairs disappear. (At least on camera) Plus, if you're going to be loading/unloading in the dark, wouldn't lights on the stairs help everyone get on and off?

I agree, maybe a round stock going from the outside corners of the step to the frame. I seen little bit of bounce it would sturdy them up a lot, especially sense those are bump stops as well.
Dude.. you should put led lights in the bump stops as well. Might make loading at night a little easier.. great job man it looks awesome ..

Looks great. The wiring looks like a/c colors for your house. Black is the load and white is the neutral.
@ ultimate rebuilds. Since you made the winch post curved back, I’d add a bottom leg to it for more support. That winch will be pulling a lot of weight and now you are relying on the welds. The Welds are probably fine but the added support is piece of mind for the alteration.
I really think that one of your strengths is the trailer rebuilds. Each one has been done really well. You may want to think of doing custom trailers. Don’t know the market, but your trailer game is strong.
Looks awesome! I’d probably add a horizontal bar to the top of each vertical stair mount post. It will make both sides stronger if you tie them together.

I'm a little worried about the torsion on that rear support, too. Zack does great work, but I think he's underestimated the stresses here.
@Eyes0penNoFear

@@rosstulloch8100 I agree. What he has done is sufficient if he only plans to drive down the block to the neighborhood boat ramp, but I'd be nervous about hitting any kind of bumps at highway speeds.
Absolutely amazing job, was worth the wait. Can't wait for the next video.
You should make a custom off road trailer for the beetle!!!
Zachary,your a machine,excellent job sir.Thankyou for sharing.
Suzuki 4-strokes are AWESOME!!
Consider adding diagonal gussets from the inside side main frames to the inside of the rear crossmember to which the transom hoop is welded to. This will prevent the transom crossmember frame rail from twisting due to load on the cantilevered transom hoop. Hope this makes sense.
You sir are smart above your years!
Very nice! You’re doing a great job. Thanks for sharing.
More pontoon videos!!!! Luv em
I love how you go all out on your builds. It’s shaping up sweet as hell! Just two things though; I’d be concerned about the stairs not being properly supported and bending out and down over time. Also, I thought you shouldn’t attach/make contact between aluminum and steel. By no means am I am expert… just that I had heard or read that somewhere.
Hey Zack, where you added the support on the back, you may want to add a transom saver, with where its mounted, coupled with the angle of transom saver, you can't go wrong, next time you have the toon on trailer, mock it up, you will see
That’s awesome love those light up bunks trailer looks great
BEAUTIFUL work, this is awesome stuff
Well done once again. Thank you for the great content Zach.
I love the outcome of your trailer. I wouldn't change anything ! Awesome job !
You should put some LEDs around the base of the winch (and maybe the top of the bump stops) so you can see when you're nearing the bump stops, and so you can see the winch while using it at night. It probably won't take many LEDs at all to light it up enough.
Looks great! Nice work.
Nice job looking good. Can't wait for more. God bless
Great progress! Really like how it's shaping up. My family had a pontoon when I was younger and I absolutely loved it. Never thought about building a custom one until I found your channel.
LED lights make the world a better place 💞
Looks good 👍... maybe put some LEDs up on your bump stops so you're not ramming that center pontoon into the railings at night.
Can't wait to see what you picked out for the seating!
WOW! Another incredible trailer rebuild and excellent wiring tutorial, as always, GREAT BUILD QUALITY...and it looks FANTASTIC, great content Zach!
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Brilliant set up!
The LED's look great, nice work.
The side mounts on the stairs could be connected for support. Lay a piece of that metal across the top and weld them in. Then they would support each other.
Great job looks spot on
love this great work man!!!
Great built brother. Looking forward to the final product
Love watching you work.great channel
Awesome work man and good ideas. Love the double ladder and black paint job. I agree, black looks the best. Keep the videos coming, love watching them!
I love seeing a young man like you. Doing something so creative. With your time. God bless
Wow. When you do something, you really do it right. Great job
Love the channel! Thanks and keep posting!
First time I've seen the light up bunks and I love it looks really cool and will make landing at night a little easier.
Looks awesome. Love the LEDs. I’d paint the new equalizers and the rims black to match, but otherwise no changes. I really like the double stairs at the bow. Looks great and will be double the functionality. You do a ton of work. Keep it up.
It looks awesome!
Great job so far!
The structure is very helpful Thank you ^ ^
Your work ethic is very impressive. You are not afraid of hard work. Keep at it !
Looks amazing 👏
Trailer looks great,love the videos,.
Looks great!
I just found this video- excellent job on the trailer and pontoon as well as all of the videos!!!
That looks suprisingly good. Great content
The trailer looks absolutely awesome! I think I followed your explanation of the trailer bunk lights - I might add some LED lights on the rails of my utility trailer. I look forward to the Friday videos but this past Friday I was working late and wouldn't have had time to watch it anyhow so today was perfect!
Well done young man, I watch all of your videos. Kudos. 🇬🇧🙏
Great job, as always.
Great video, really took that trailer to the next level!!
Always hard at work man. Great job! 👍🏼
Love your videos keep up the great work
Looks great
Awesome job!!!!!!
Looks GR8!!! May just have to do that to my boat bunks! Should make it a lot easier in the evenings or at night to load up!
Love the videos bru! Big ups from Cape Town 🇿🇦
I enjoy your videos very much. Helped us rebuild a pontoon boat over the last year and a half. Wish you were in the northeast so you could rebuild a snowmobile. We could use the guidance! Thanks again, Matt from Boston.
You gots the skills! Looks amazing. I’m watching you work and all I can think is you are a machine. Fun to watch you kill these projects.
Looks awesome 😎
Great job Zach!
The LED lights are frikin awesome! I love the newer boats that have them under the swim deck or under the entire boat - it's just cool as $hit too! Nice work!!!
After watching jetski videos a couple days ago, the first episode of this boat rebuild series popped up on my recommended page. Im glad that I clicked on it, so interesting watching these videos! Keep up the great work man! :)
I would put one of the LED strips on the outside on the exterior bunk if you can so people can see it as you drive down the road. I’m not sure if that’s possible, but definitely let’s you use your awesome lights more than just unloading and loading your boat
I'm impressed that you fit so much work into a 30 minute video 💪🏽
Love your work brother keep it going
Perfect brother and thanks
I enjoy watching this channel more than Sam’s Crac! Gets a BIG FAT 👍 from me! 🇬🇧
What a great job you did. This trailer is awesome. I wish you did your videos more frequently. Your work is very professional. Keep up the good work ad the great vlogs.
Great idea on the front of the trailer Zach! You really have a mind for engineering!
Worth the wait. Assumed you’re busy when I didn’t see my sat morning video here in Australia 👍😊
Excellent job 👌👍👌
dope idea with the stairs
Something i always notice in your videos are the Florida skies. I grew up in Largo and spent some time in Jacksonville one summer during college. The skies there are just so much more vivid or something. Keep up the great work! I'd love to update my bunks with some led lighting next time they need work.
Looks good! I would make some side bunks. It will help out tremendously with loading the boat on those windy days.
Legit! Good job with the trailer!
how good is this kid ..OMG congrats old mate
Nice work! You do a nice job not cutting corners and getting it done correctly! I love the first pontoon with the bar and captain helm. I thought about doing one myself but thought it might be easier to put a sign on the side saying "Look at my cool bar, please pull me over" Looking fwd to party boat 2.0
I probably would have done a few things different, but you did a great job and made it a one-off, as always. Cheers to everyone who modifies/customizes everything they own! And, great video/project yet again! Looking forward to seeing what you do with the pontoon, man.
That looks good dude
I love those dual stairs. 12:26 The new box yoke you're installing looks more beefy than that T-beam cross member it's attaching to. Weakest link etc. Remember you're adding a cantilevered downward moment attached at the hollow face of the support. That T-beam is strong against force loading from its top but not so much against a torsion load applied from one side (the aft of the trailer) where you welded that box yoke thing plus whatever extra weight it is supposed to bear in turn. Plan to beef up that rear crossbar too. The all black trailer looks great when you're done.
love your builds
No rest for the weary. Love your work Zach
Your a genius, love the videos.
