Seeing as they live in a poor nation and the measly ad revenue on YT is shit, even for those in poor nations, I highly doubt that they have a 3 story mansion... After all Malaysia isn't the best country right now, and let's hope they don't get any visiting Chinese for a while, after all wouldn't want these guys to succumb to the Corona Virus. Although I'd buy them a Corona Beer any day.

These creations are truly extraordinary, however what stops these underground pools turning into snake pits, what happens during the monsoon season, and how do these pools perform without a filtration system? It seems like a lot of work goes into every one of these pools, it seems a waste therefore if they cannot be sustained for a meaningful time.

Can't do this in the U.S.; not without paying taxes and interest on it. Land improvement, $256,000 appraisal value for 110sqft at 3.5% interest with property taxes close to $10,000. It wouldn't be easy, might even succomb to predation or anything else nature has to offer, but at least anxiety might be a bit lower. I vote for that. Lifespan would be much shorter, but it would be a life well lived.
