    You mentioned not needing to measure your shims at around 17:45. That is pretty important as you wan the surface of your rocker arm to be parallel to the surface of your camshaft. Having a skewed rocker will lead to vibration and premature wear. Hope it has been holding up fine.

    I've been watching SR20 build videos lately as I recently acquired a '77 Datsun 620 and this will be my motor swap of choice. That being said, very nice work on the narration and editing! I don't know how you're getting anything done in the shop while wearing a watch though!

    Tip for the future, for the portion where you are dropping the nuts onto the studs and you found yourself in a precarious balancing act with the nuts, you can purchase bee’s wax and then push your socket into it so it will help the nuts stay in to socket, but it won’t leave anything hazardous because it will just burn off!

    Doing the same to mine almost exactly the same build except a 660 here, what lines and fittings did you use for your turbo? I don't wanna go back and forth buying shit til I find a decent fitment for the oil feed off the turbo. Also you can slide the chain around the intake cam if you don't bolt the cam down first. I reckon you should go into more detail even if other people have done it before so people find your videos the most technically sound and maybe pick up on things other have left off. Keep it up mate, subbed!

    Hey I'm new to the Sr world... noticing the motors are slightly tilted forward and have a predominant lean towards drivers side. I'm swapping this motor into a different vehicle. I understand the motor needs a pitch to front because of the oil pump. But what's the side tilt? Would it effect the motor if I leveled it with a front ward pitch? Or are there oil galleys that have a need for the sidepitch?

    So your stock bores we're 86mm, and you're now 86.5mm? I'm about to do the same thing. 4th cyl as well. I'm also going with CPs, are you having piston slap? Or is that a stupid myth I shouldn't be worried about? What size head gasket did you get? 1.5mm? And what bore size on the gasket? 87mm?

  • @JackPanozza

    @JackPanozza

    Жыл бұрын

    Definitely no piston slap if you get the right pistons and it's machined correctly, and neever heard of it happening to be honest. I went 1.2mm headgasket 87mm bore
