Building Springer Forks on a Budget: Step-by-Step Guide with 3D Graphics

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Learn how to build Harley-Davidson and Indian Bikes-style Springer Forks on a budget with this informative video! For less than $200, you can create your very own spring forks using 3D graphics and animations that make the process both simple and inspiring.
This tutorial covers all the necessary steps to construct stylish and functional springer forks for your bike's front suspension. From the inspiration process to the initial sketches, 3D modeling, construction, and details of all the used parts - everything is covered in this project.
If you're interested in purchasing a base fork, the Ruff Cycles Straight Fork Chrome is available at this link: store.ruff-cycles.com/ruff-cy.... It features a Head Tube Ø 28,6 mm (1 1/8"), Head Tube Length 240 mm, Overall Length 600 mm, Tube Diameter Ø 38 mm, Distance Between Drop Outs 100 mm, Disk Brake Mounts, and is made out of Chromoly Steel with bridges made out of Aluminium.
By following this video, you'll be able to build your own custom springer fork front end, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts and opinions on the project!

@@mistersimple1986 Hi my friend. I used those as rockers boats (Road Seat Bolt 22mm - SE93622 about 3 pounds): www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oxford-Bicycle-Cycle-Bike-Replacement-Allen-Key-Road-Seat-Bolt-22mm-SE93622/302882142496?epid=4023746668&hash=item46852eb920:g:ArgAAOSwDOlbmoKp:rk:163:pf:0 I used a metal glue to keep them in place - It is not necessary, but it make it safer. They are strong enough for a bicycle forks project, but I wouldn't use them in motorcycle forks. If you are talking about any other boats please let me know, I will be happy to help you. Cheers

After almost four years using it is still doing well ( I am not too big ), but I feel the wear of the springs... I'll need to replace them for the next season. Hi Richard, thanks for your kind words :) These bikes are not exactly made to be super comfortable neither fast, but for mine I've made everything focusing the weight and measuring the elements, so the crankset - seat tube matches exactly my legs length, as well the handlebars. During the summer time I ride about 30/35km a day on it and it is still a great ride. Once in Amsterdam I rode 99km in one day, of course next day everything hearts. The idea is to build something on your own, something unique, to learn the bicycle mechanics and keep it well maintained. When I need a very comfortable bike for long distances I would use a super light road bike :) I am very curious about what you are going to build up ;) If you need help our facebook group is very interactive and the builders love helping! I’ve been trying to get my hands on a Micargi Seattle bike for my build but the guy must be a jerk who won’t sell directly to consumers and only to a handful of bike shops- none of which are near me. He won’t even return my emails to let me sell his bikes in my eBay and Amazon shop. This type of business he’s running is exactly how they keep the little guy from making money. He’s not even a big corporation but as small privately owned shop out in the western U.S.. He did have a contract with Walmart selling that bike for $500 but not anymore. He discontinued the bike, repainted it gray and renamed it the Vancouver just to sell it for $800. The guy is a real P.o.S. A true businessman would’ve replied to my multiple emails or even made an exception to sell me at least one bike for my own private use or even sold me a few to sell here on the east coast since no one else here is selling them. So it’s businessmen like him that are keeping guys like me from opening a new business and guys like you from staying in business. It’s a shame we have to tolerate these people and this world they created. Btw I’m a political scientist and a history fanatic. Being that you’re in Poland I’m guessing you know who is behind all this mayhem. If you don’t though and want to know who, what, when, where, and why. I can give you all the answers. I’ve been watching these people for 15 years and predicted all of these events back then. Perhaps this knowledge will you prepare for what’s coming next.

Do you want to replace the front wheel only? Both? What about the rims? ( this is important to be considered). Do you mind to share your bike picture with me? I will have a better idea then :) Those schematics were made only for this video, but I can support you with all the details you may need
