My grandparents in Iowa had a lovely screened porch...many happy childhood memories eating meals and late night visits on that porch!
Dont you just LOVE IT????!!! I got my back porch screened in last year and I am so THANKFUL!!!! I crochet until the wee hrs of the morning! I have lights all around the ceiling and a pole lamp behind my chair..whalla!! Happiness!! Lol!

Yes I am loving it. I have lights too but they are still in the box 😂 hopefully they will get hung tomorrow. That is so exciting that you have one too and I can just imagine you crocheting late at night in it.

Love your screened in porch. I would love to do this on a portion of our deck. We also have a doggy door that is used by our kitty. She loves to bring us “gifts” and would love to be able to stop those gifts from actually getting into the house and stay in the screened in porch.

What was installed on the bottom on the outside? Siding?
Looks good! Nice work. How much did the material cost? How big is the square footage of the area?
Did you fasten the ledgerboard on the roofline to the house by just attaching it or did you cut out the siding and put flashing up first? Curious how that works out...

Fastened it under the roofline. No cutting.
Great video! Where do you live? My understanding is that a flat roof means you have to remove any snow that collects on it. Otherwise, you’ll have issues.

How are you preventing the water from coming in where the new metal roof is attached to the house wall?

The new roof is at a slant therefore when it rains it slides down it instead of up and under the old roof.

Next time please keep the camera movement to a minimum n boutique made me sick watching it felt like I was on a roller coaster

Hello Pamela, that is the best looking little room I love it I would I would love to have one here I’m gonna show this to Jim but I would like one. If the part of the porch was in close the kitchen the chickens wouldn’t be pooping all over the place. That might be my way to get my way. It’s a bad time to be building though with the lumber at the price that it is. Enjoyed seeing the little ones and a little glimpse of you in the video thank you and have a great day.💕NonnaGrace. My existing stamped patio is 13.6 x 15 ft. which makes a great space to hang out. I think that's a great idea to do that. Jim can build that. He can fix and build anything!!
